Branson's transformation irritated me the most....I LOVED Branson and Sybill and now I find Branson a tad annoying....I liked him better when he was taking Sybill to her rally's and covering for her....this brooding - "I'll stay until you run away with me" - was fine but let it go! You said it, now let's move on to something else in your relationship....

The thing about Branson is, why would someone who is a political activist(socialist), stick around waiting for an aristocrat's daughter. When they are the very people he despises the most. That just tells me that he's doing it to show Lord Grantham up. But of course she thinks she's in love with him. I think the whole thing with those two are rediculous

As for Isobel Crawley, I don't think she behaves any differently from the 1st season to the 2nd. She was always a little overbearing, in the 1st. Especially when she is at Violet's house, and telling her that it should be her duty to allow Moseley to win at the flower show since she wins it every year, What nerve!

Being slightly pushy is one thing. Fellowes' portrayal of Isobel in S2 was ridiculously overdone. And many others have complained about this. And why didn't Cora simply confront Isobel and tell her that she was crossing the line about being in charge of the hospital and being in charge of Downton Abbey's household? Instead, Cora behaved like a passive aggressive child and resorted to underhanded machinations to manipulate Isobel into leaving. It was pathetic.

Isobel was pointing out that Violet was using her position as the Dowager Countess to claim the flower show prize every year. And she was right. Or do you think it's okay for the elite to exploit their position in society?
