there is a reason why sookie chose eric instead of bill( in the book) and i think that they should be faithful to that

I think that since Alan Ball is all about character development, I feel that Eric is one of those characters that we are gonna see SLOWLY progress along with Bill, instead of in the books where Bill does a complete 180 into 'douche land' after the third and Eric had no choice but to step up as alpha male.

I don't see that whole gamechanger of the third book working to well on the tv adaptation. It works well enough on paper, but put into a television script it has "jump the shark" written all over it.

I've never trusted Eric.

I will watch either way. i know in the end it WILL be Eric!

Sookie has to fall for Eric but id still watch the show if they'd stuck to bill. i like the storyline too much

In the book Eric was the one that always helped her. I never read where Bill gave her damm thing. Wait there was one thing and that was heart break.

The possibility of Sookie falling for Eric is the main reason why I'm watching the show. I'll still watch it but I'll be sad and pouty if they don't end up together. Eric's my favorite.

I don't mean it in a heck no way, but I think Alan Ball is making the Sookie-Eric storyline progress in a very good way, and he did say that they are going to happen, but I don't think him making Bill a douche will be the only reason, I don't want her to be with Eric like he is second best or something like that. I want her and Eric together though.

fangtasticM did you notice that too? bill does alot for sookie that he was not responable for in the book. one example being when he sucked out her blood to clean it after she was attacked. i went back to check to make sure i wasn't crazy because all the vampires had a hand in that even, chow for goodness sake!!

Yeah, I know but what I'm hearing is that Alan Ball wanted to make it interesting. Which is not bad, but I'm hoping in Club Dead we will see more of Eric like we do in the book. You never know with Alan. I really think that Eric's is as beautiful as a statue. It will be crazy if he left, cause he's such a big part of the books.

I have never read the books although i really want to i am a new True blood fan and i love the idea of Sookie and Eric being a couple i would LOVE to see it happen but if it didn't i would still watch True blood.

Lol, hopefully I won't be killed in my sleep for this, but quite honestly, even though I'm a huge Eric fan, I really don't like the Eric/Sookie pairing. I do know what happens in the books, though, so if the show decides to keep that direction, then alright. Really, I love the show so much that it would take something pretty big to make me stop watching! :)

I couldn't bare to watch if she ended up with Bill. He's a total dick in the books! Besides, Eric killed Long Shadow in the books, not Bill! Plus, I don't care if really does love her, now, which I don't believe is so, he started the relationship under false pretenses, saying he loved her when he only wanted her for Sophie-Ann. Oh, and while Stephen Moyer is okay, Alexander Skarsgärd is hot.

I think i will still be watching TrueBlood but i will love to watch it with full passion if Eric will still be in the episodes.. He adds spice to the series..and he's my idol!

I adore the show even if Eric/Sookie isn't engame, truth be told i ship Bill/Sookie more than Eric/Sookie anyway. plus I hate how he treats Pam as a result of his infatuation with Sookie

I am probably one of the biggest sookie eric fan there is out there in the True Blood world and i would totally want eric to be favored like the books, but True Blood is still my favorite tv show and it won't make me stop watching it.
