If you’re itching to find out what happens in season five of Game Of Thrones, don’t bother asking Kit Harington.

With George RR Martin revealing that nobody is safe in HBO’s small screen adaptation of his novels, you’d imagine the actor would be pretty keen to find out which characters are set to meet gruesome ends this series.

Speaking during promotion for Testament Of Youth, the big screen adaptation of Vera Brittain’s novel, Harington confessed he has been desperately trying to avoid spoilers until the show actually airs.

He told Metro.co.uk: ‘I didn’t read anyone else’s stuff this series. Usually I read all of the series, but I didn’t read anyone else’s stuff this year because I don’t know what happens in the books so I’m completely fresh, I have no idea happens.’

So were his co-stars supportive of his attempts to avoid spoilers?

When asked if anyone tried to spoil the plot for him, he admitted: ‘(The cast) kept trying in the bar, they kept trying to tell me what they’d done that day.

‘And I was like “I don’t wanna know!” I want to watch this year, apart from my stuff because I know what happens, I want to watch everyone else’s stuff like a fan would.’

If he’s managed to remain spoiler-free, Kit can join fans in finding out what happens to Tyrion Lannister and co shortly, with the new series set to air on Sky Atlantic on April 13.
