  Troy Bolton is a lead male character in HSM movies played by Zac Efron. Troy is a playmaker for a school's basketball team, the Wildcats. His dad is the coach. Troy fell in love with Gabriella Montez, a new student at East High School, played by Vanessa Hudgens. They're so in love with each other, that Troy even joined the school's drama club staging a musical, just to be close to Gabriella.

  Gabriella Montez is a lead female character in HSM movies played by Vanessa Hudgens, a new student at East High School. She first met Troy Bolton at the sing-a-long where the two did a song together. They fell in love with each other right away. It was the love at first sight. Gabriella is not only a member of a school's drama club, but also a member of a science club. She's very bright and intelligent.
