I don't like how people are calling it ghost sex. IT'S NOT. It was something that he HONESTLY thought happened, he WANTED it so badly that he believed it to be TRUE. It's not at all close to Grey's. It meant something, it showed his feelings and what he wants most. Ch..some people just don't get it lol.

IMO what irked them the most was they didn't see it coming and they were totally taken in by DS as much as we were...:-P

hmmm
I think you are right. The sex, real or not, surely meant for him. It makes him realize he wants her so badly he will not be able to deny it anymore. Otherwise the writers wouldn't make him experience this allucination...I think they are gonnna make some progress in the next season, the thing is "when" and how long are we gonna wait and suffer...have you notice the beautiful song at the end of the episode 23? It definetely means they are meant-to-be.

i agree completely Gtalisa - to quote Three Stories "'define 'real' they were real experiences.. what they meant..."(credit goes to MrsH for pointing that out)
the most important thing is that they happened to somebody, and House completely and utterly believed they were true. Those people who can;t appreciate the absolute geniusness of what shore pulled need to take the stick out of there ass.

I agree BB,perception is reality. Just because it didn't happen to everyone else doesn't mean it didn't happen and mean something to him.

I think they are all being just a little bit harsh about the season finale. I'm just as disappointed as everyone else about the sex being a hallucination but I don't think it was cop-out created just for shock factor that has nothing to do with character development. I think it shows a whole new level to House's character and even though it isn't going to change the nature of House, it will change a part of who he is because being thrown in a psychiatric institution will change a person just a little.

And I most certainly don't think it was bad writing. In fact that episode alone gives them new stuff for the whole 6th season. It's gonna take them a while to fix House, Cuddy , and Wilson and tear apart Cameron and Chase all in one season. Which lets face it is gonna happen, poor poor Cameron and Chase. I think they were all just a little pissed because they were fooled.

i agree with them on a few points. if we find out all of this was another hallucination, i'm seriously going to consider not watching house (i said consider, yeah right like i could actually stop). but on the whole i think they're wrong, and it made me mad that if you're going to critique a show and say it's coping earlier episodes, at least have the right season. but yeah. i'm sad critics aren't as receptive to it as we are. :(
