I have admired Jerry Lewis since I first saw him starring in a film with Dean Martin in the 1950s. I was only around 8 یا 9 years old, feeling sad because we had just moved to a new area and I missed my friends, but that film made me laugh and instantly I was hooked! I used to practise Jerry's voice and facial expressions all the time and my ambition was to become a comedian. I even wrote directed and starred in a play I put on at school when I was about 12 - based very much on his Nutty Professor character (omitting the Buddy Love element!).
I've found that people either 'get' his humour یا they don't, no half measures. I seriously think he is a comic genius and his humour is timeless.
I would love to have met him in real life, but know it's impossible, I can watch his films though and that is some consolation.
