Who else thinks that the Merlin fandom is one of the worst?

Plain and simple it is disgusting. Again, I reiterate I have no issue with anyone being gay. I do have a very viceral reaction, however, to someone perverting friendship because of their own lame sense of what sexuality is. Most often, this is not being done سے طرف کی the gay community at large but سے طرف کی prepubescent females, whose own sexuality and personal identities are thwarted most often. They feel inadequate as women, so they thrive on trashing other females who are involved on screen with the males they would desire and مزید than likely would not give them the time of دن in RL. Thus, they can deal with, emotionally unstable as it sounds, the males being with one another because it takes the female of the species out of the picture and makes them feel better about themselves.

Ironically, the object of loathing is actually themselves. They feel inadequate and caged so they get ugly to their own kind.

THWARTED..that is what they are. We can only hope they grow out of this behaviour pattern. They don't actually know what friendship looks like and to extol incest as normal یا acceptable is really frightening and might have bigger ramifications for their ہوم lives, which is even مزید sad.

ive been in the buffy , TVD and other fandoms , so yes the merlin fandom is the worst.

tumblr is known to be the ہوم of haters cause people in REAL LIFE dont share their opinions

i dont think those shippers can say out loud to their friends/family in real life that they want a brother/sister to fuck each other یا that they want merlin/arthur to be gay and sleep with each other all دن long so they come on Tumblr and hate the rival ship to make them feel better about their own crappy life.

Can't agree with you. There are some really nice people on Tumblr I got in touch and they respect me in all the way while here I've been bullied several times سے طرف کی Arwen shippers. Actually, it's the peps from here that made me a 'hater' like one کہا from just a random Morgana fan. Don't devide people to fanpop-polite and tumblr-sick because آپ are making your own actions childish. Probably, آپ just met the wrong people.

I've never used tumblr, I've just had to google it to know what it is.
Anyway, I'm one of the people who don't understand this thing of making characters gay that clearly aren't, not just on Merlin, but on other shows like Supernatural.
Especially fighting with other شائقین about it? Really?
Another thing that bothers me is that if you're not ok with that sort of shipping, then you're automatically homophobic, which is offensive because I'm not, I'm just realistic.
Don't they know what a real friendship looks like?
Anyway, this things are gonna keep existing, so I've learned to ignore them.

Not everyone has the same opinion and گیا پڑھا مرتبہ as everyone else. What some people see as a strong friendship over people see as slight romance. It doesn't really matter what other people think though. No one ever asked آپ to look/read/think about it.

Also, The teletubbies has the worst fandom in my eyes. (mainly cause it's a childrens show.)

Gay baiting یا Queer baiting is the oldest trope in the entertainment business aka capitalism. Merthur شائقین are not being progressive shipping slash, what they are doing is being used and pandered to. Merthur is one of many white male cis non gay relationships that have been used to score ratings. Batman and Robin, ڈریک and Josh, and now Merthur. The gay subtext is not revolutionary, gay subtext is not something amazing آپ are seeing, the gay subtext is being used as a trope to make شائقین keep watching the show, there is a reason why they make B&C do tv promotions together and set together everywhere. They are using homosexuality as a "commodity" and آپ people don't realize it. Why do آپ think they decided to make Merlin into a young man and Arthur as his peer, "we were inspired سے طرف کی smallville" yeah, then why couldn't they do a story on just Merlin's young life before he met Uther. It's okay to ship slash, but آپ don't have to be sexist and disrespect homosexuality to do so. Many شائقین use homosexuality as a form of entertainment, and this is wrong and ignorant, آپ don't know what a homosexuals relationship is like, so don't us it to get your kicks off. Fangirls, آپ are not being progressive shipping slash, آپ know what is progressive, voting for marriage equality and equal rights for trans gender-ed people in domestic violence situations. Well, currently I am annoyed at the Merlin fandom because I am new to it, so I'm still watching the series, and whenever I want to go talk about it on a Merlin fandom page, they don't even TRY to hide any spoilers. They just post willy nilly, and ruin everything. And so I'm sitting there, trying to escape the page before they spoil EVERYTHING for me. And it's just ridiculous. It's like they are the only fandom that thinks everyone that's a part of it has already watched the whole damn series. And that's not the case. So as a fandom I think they have been disrespectful to those who want to be a bigger part of the fandom. and they are making a bad name for the fandom in general, so I don't even want to tell people that I'm a Merlin پرستار because I don't want to be associated with the label that they have made for the Merlin fandom.

Seriously? Ok. Everyone needs to get off their high-and-mighty tricycles and realize that every fandom and every ship has its faults. Sitting bashing people and not making an effort to change anything isn't gonna help. Be respectful to others and explain your concerns. That's how things get better.

Well, since I am not on Tumblr at all, I don't know exactly how the Merlin fans. But what I have seen of Tumblr in general, I think I can make a well educated guess on that it probably would suck.

This post comes as a shock to me. I've been in other fandoms (7 others, to be exact), and as of late, the Merthur/Merlin fandom has been the nicest, most polite one I've known. I've actually found that merlin شائقین on fanpop have been considerably ruder than the ones on tumblr, though, especially when it comes to homosexuals/characters/show in general (and آپ would NEVER see a post hating on anyone like this post right here on the Merlin side of tumblr). The Merlin fandom is so nice and wankfree that it literally felt like a huge gulp of fresh air after drowning in my former fandom.

I don't think that آپ should judge people based on their fandoms. Everyone enjoys different things and if آپ don't like Merlin, آپ don't have to insult its fans. There are character haters and ship haters in every fandom, but please don't judge a fandom based off of a few posts you've seen.

The Once fandom man. It's awful. The ship wars are pretty bad here but at least no one has threatened the creators یا bullied the actors over them yet. "He retired from acting in 2015, after being publicly embarrassed on Twitter for attacking Once Upon a Time شائقین with homophobic remarks." His remarks weren't even that homophobic until the شائقین started attacking him and provoking him. Granted he handled the situation wrong too but he had an entire fanbase on his پچھواڑے, گدا and they got him to quit acting entirely.

TL;DR سے طرف کی comparison to the Once fandom, this one is a چائے party. Though I have seen a lot of anti-gay stuff here on this spot. I just ignore it...or I try to.

Personally, I feel that there is a good and a bad side to ever fandom and that there are a lot of Merlin شائقین who take it way to personally that people don’t ship who they do. However, I don’t think we should disregard people who ship Merthur all together as fanatics یا nutcases who feel the need to read too much into a show. While watching Merlin I personally noticed a lot of subtext and connections around Merlin revealing his magic / coming out and the stigma attached to being a sorcerer / gay. Now I am fully willing to accept that some people may not see this the way I do and I have absolutely no problem with that, part of the point of ویژن ٹیلی is that it is up to interpretation. I simply feel that we should respect everyone’s opinions on this matter and remember that it is just a tv show.

People should just ship what’s canon. Freylin and Arwen for life.
