Potentially. A couple of weeks ago I would of said, "No way in hell, especially after having to do it for Jenny in Season Four" but like after watching like the last couple of eppys where Vance is back, it seems like they're throwing in some hints regarding it like 'take some more time off work' and all that chat.

@huddyfirl2 he covered for Jenny when she was out of the country...no one besides Ducky knew she was ill til after her death. Vance has a cane but he still on sevre pain meds for his stomach injury plus the other injuries.

Plus I think Vance is really questioning if he wants to be director....thinking about his family and what not. I think it would be interesting espeically becasue ELi wouild have t odeal with Gibbs which would be interesting to see or hear a conversation with them. I also think this because NCIS usually gets read of it's directors every 2-3 years. Murrow in the first episode of season 2, jenny in the end of season 5 so it might be that time again

I wouldn't mind seeing how he'd handle the job on a temporary basis. But would that mean Tony would than take his place in the field like he did when Gibbs was laid up? Or knowing Gibbs he'd try to be in here and out there which would cause issues. Might be interesting.

Not really, no. I didn't exactly like it when he took over for Jenny that one time, so I don't think they should ever put him in the position of Director again. He's a man of action, a more hands on kind of guy. He shouldn't be sitting on his ass all day behind a desk, pushing paperwork and doing all the other stuff that being Director involves. He belongs out in the field, working with the team because that is what he does best.

@blue85 I get your point......but this season Vance has been involved alot and out of the office more than any of the other directors so I think it depends on the director and what is going on when it comes to how much time the Direcotr spends in the office. Especially now that they are biring in this new chick in the team dynamic for a little arc, I am thinking that Vance is going to need a little bit more time and Gibbs is just going to be put in as direcotr full time for a total of like 2-3 episodes but in NCIS land it will be like a couple of weeks or months even.
