I just feel he's a tragic character, which means he has to be alone.

Or Emma. But mostly Belle. :)

Since there was no place for Emma have to go with "alone". I love him and Regina as enemies/reluctant colleagues and getting them together would lead to similar badness that was House/Cuddy. To go into how much I loath OUAT's Belle would just invite flamers, haters and crazy people so, suffice to so, nuh uh, nope, nadda!

He should be with Red Riding Hood, that's the only reason I said alone. Just because it wasn't a choice :/ Rumpel diserves happiness after all he went through, just not with Belle.
