This has been a wild season for Rosewood's denizens, as our heroes have continued to deal with the aftermath of Mona's (Janel Parrish) death. Last week's episode of the ABC Family drama saw Alison (Sasha Pieterse) being found guilty of first-degree murder, while Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Aria (Lucy Hale) and Emily (Shay Mitchell) were all hauled off to join Hanna (Ashley Benson) in the slammer. Bad times.
that the finale is the "most important episode of
that we have produced to date. It really is a game-changer for us."
"We are definitely seeing a big 'A' reveal in the episode, and it is a reveal that will definitely tell you in a certain way who 'A' is," King says, promising constant goosebumps. "It's something I've never seen on television before. ... It's shocking and provocative and disturbing." She adds that the finale launches an 11-episode path to wrap up the general storyline that has been running since season one.
Some fans have questioned whether Mona is really dead and if she might pop in on the Liars during the finale. "I know everybody's saying, 'No body, no crime,' " King admits. "In the next two episodes, you will definitely get closure on who or what was in the barrel, and a body will surface."

The episode won't feature any romantic moments between Emily and Alison, which is likely to disappoint the many fans who are hoping for more Emison sparks. But it will see the three primary significant others — Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), Ezra (Ian Harding) and Toby (Keegan Allen) — putting their differences aside and "working together to bring their girls home."
King says that just four of the castmembers have been told who "A" is: three of the Liars (Hale doesn't want the pressure of knowing!) and Allen. But a number of fans are actually on the right track with their predictions. "So many people are getting so close — it's so exciting," King reveals. "In my perfect world, a lot of people figure it out before we give you that absolute, definite closure."

is renewed for two more seasons, but that isn't necessarily the end of the road. "I'm happy to go for as long as fans want to see the show — and for as long as we can continue to tell really fun and exciting stories," she says.
However, as far as the short-term is concerned, King is not worried about fans' responses to the upcoming developments: "I'm 100 percent confident that we're going to see all positive reaction to this episode — after jaws are picked up from the floor."
