Feminists are taking the derogatory term slut, and making it into a badge of pride...Your thoughts?

I don't hate feminists. Actually, I consider myself one. But I agree that there are a lot of feminists that take everything WAYYYYYY too far. I wouldn't compare a woman saying proudly that she's a slut with a gay person saying with pride that he's a faggot, mostly because (even though it's incredibly politically incorrect and I frown upon the use of the word) faggot is used as another term for gay, and there's nothing wrong with being gay. Slut, however, isn't another word for woman, and there IS something wrong with being a slut. (That said, I'm definitely not encouraging gay people to call themselves faggots, I was just making a point).

I sort of agree with you.

First of all, Feminists are people who just think that men and women should have equal rights. Not all of them are butch lesbians who think that men are horrible and need to all just die. Men can also be feminists.
I am a feminist, but I agree that there are some people that just take things to the اگلے level. I think that what they mean is that women have been called sluts for centuries and say, "Hey, us "sluts" have something to say to you!" (sorry, that was very difficult to put in to words). If آپ want to be treated as an equal to men, don't reffer to yourself as a slut. As آپ said, it's just like a gay man calling himself a faggot, a lesbian woman calling herself a dyke, یا a black person calling themselves the n-word.
Being a feminist, I don't like reffering to myself as a slut. I am much stronger than that. I have a name, and I'm not a slut.
Plus, not all sluts engage in sexual activity for money. Those are prostitutes.

I don't see how آپ can conjoin the two terms "beautiful, confident woman who could use her looks to her advantage if she wanted" and "slut."

First of all, no one should be proud of being labled with the term "Slut." Its a shallow and concieted form of pride, one that produces the message "Im better than everyone just because of my body." Second, this entire "Feminist" thing آپ are discussing is equaly dumb. Women are no better than men and me are no better than women. Labling eachother سے طرف کی trivial words such as "slut" یا سے طرف کی sex is just wrong. I agree that pride is a shallow form of honor. Being a slut isnt a good thing, and people should definitly not call themselves that, even if they say it with pride.

I SICK OF IT! and this 'slut' thing is just pushing it alittle more. Men and women are equal in my eyes! Even my MALE teacher said: "the only thing a woman has that i don't is a uterise..."
