Can آپ please help me?

Hola, amigos. I have a problem.
My good friend apparently likes me. My friend and I have known each other for a year. He really likes me, and I like him back, like, a lot. He asked me out yesterday over texting. (We hadn't seen each other at school that day.) Even though I really like him, I don't know what to do. I was really hurt when my now ex-boyfriend broke up with me on my birthday last year. Plus, I don't want things to be ackward between us if we do happen to break up.

So, what do آپ think I should do? No hate please. :) I really need help, because my parents say nothing helpful in times like these.
