Is there anyone here that's socially awkward but socially confident at the same time?

Yup. It's really odd but I think I veer مزید towards the awkward side at the end of the day. As آپ put it; I can hold a conversation no problem but then I have these odd social ticks and tendencies.
I think part of it has to do with having no filter. Like I will vent to a stranger about my problems. I'm too open with people and I think it makes them uncomfortable?

even though it effects on me badly and makes me anxiety after interact with someone
i tend to make my جوابات short and sometimes pretend
to be busy and excuse myself from the conversation
what makes me uncomfortable is i focus on their face expressions
and sometimes skip یا talk about things that it got nothing to do with our subject that we are talking about in first place and it puts me in a weird moment
not to mention sometimes i get so awkward i suddenly say ارے nice haircut in the middle of the conversation

I'm kind of like that.

With me, it's مزید like I avoid talking to people and being near people at all costs, but I have absolutely no problem with talking in front of groups. I can give speeches and presentations without a سیکنڈ thought, but actually talking to people makes me nervous.

So I can see where you're coming from.

With me, I'm socially awkward with certain people, but socially confident with others (especially with people I know.) It solely depends on who I'm talking to.
I'm especially socially awkward around people who I don't know. I'll just be like "Um... So... What's your پسندیدہ color?"

Not really but I feel like a nerd talking to people.

Actually now that I think of it, Im actually pretty socially confident if Im not in a group of normal girls, girly girls, یا hormone run teenage boys/girls Im pretty socially confident. I get a bit awkward the girlier the girl یا the مزید hormone ran the person is as I dont have any clue how to interact with them. So really for me, Im either super confident یا not at all. Im good around complete strangers as well.

Its mostly since I have a long فہرست of how to deal with people, but with my sheer lack of experience with the people I listed above, I just have no mental notes as to what to do when faced with a scenario like that XD

I am generally extremely socially awkward. If I'm not comfortable with a person (and even sometimes when I am comfortable) I get tongue-tied all the time and can't put into words what I'm thinking (hence why I love communicating via messages). Then I just get embarrassed سے طرف کی the blundered words that I said, so it makes me even less confident.

However, when I'm in a situation where I know what I'm doing, یا it requires a skill that I have and that I am good at, then I suddenly become confident...well somewhat. I'm only confident in situations where I know I'm skilled. I can't just improv anything, I have to know what I'm doing.

That's me like 100%.
But I've been working on it for a few years, so it's not as bad as it use to be.

Lol I have a weird double introvert-extrovert complex where I'm super shy and socially awkward around some people and loud/hyper/crazy-sociable around others.

Oh and god forbid I embarrass myself in front of someone of the former category, because if I do I'll never be able to speak to them again without having an internal-freakout xD
