Selena Gomez Reveals Relationship Advice From Taylor Swift, Says "She Never Judges Me For Anything" 

These girls are in the clear! Selena Gomez opened up to Sharon Osbourne and the ladies of

last Friday, Oct. 17, where she discussed her friendship with Taylor Swift.

"She was actually at my house the other day," Gomez, 22, said of Swift, 24. "We were sitting by the fire and I was talking about relationships and business in my life." During their heart-to-heart, the "Out of the Woods" singer gave the former Disney star some pivotal life advice.

"She just kind of looked at me and was like, \'Selena, if you\'re the smartest person in the room, I think you\'re going to be in the wrong room,\'" Gomez recalled. "She thinks I should constantly surround myself with people who are going to make me better — that are going to challenge and motivate me."

star took her pal\'s advice? "It kind of stuck to me," Gomez admitted. "I want to surround myself with those people."

It\'s no surprise that Gomez\'s love life has been at the forefront of fans\' minds, especially after she reunited with on-off boyfriend Justin Bieber last month. Still, the multi-hyphenate said that Swift has always been there for her — even if she doesn\'t agree with her decisions. The only thing the two girls can\'t seem to agree on at the moment is proximity. "She bought her house in L.A. two years ago and I loved it," said Gomez, who purchased a home in L.A. this past year. "Sure enough, I finally get my own home and she moves to New York. She thinks I fit in personality-wise more there and I can understand that, but I love my home and I\'m going to stick to that for a while."
