Severus Snape سوال

What are the differences between "Movie Snape"'s and "Book Snape"'s personality?

(i did read the کتابیں which mentions him.)Book Snape seems to be even meaner and nastier when he speaks with Harry and other students. I dont think he may also hit Ron's head with his book in OP like Movie Snape.XD so funny.

That's a سوال to be asked to Alan Rickman - actually I'd like to hear his answer. Because there are noticeable differences indeed.

Book!Severus is much مزید emotional than movie!Severus in my opinion. Except in his memories in the last movie. I think Alan chose to play him like that to make a strong contrast between a very self-controled individual and the basket case he was when Lily died یا the man shocked سے طرف کی the fact that Lily's son had to die in the end.

I saw a vid in which Alan explained he played Severus according to the book, stating that for example, he never raises his voice. So he played him like that. He's an actor that plays a lot with his voice (see his other movies, it's incredible).

As for his "brutality", I think he vented his pent-up emotions that way, especially on Ron and Harry in movie!GoF, but honestly they deserved it ! Three times they chatted, he got pissed off, like any teacher would.

Same thing in movie!OotP, when he smacked Ron with his book, but this time the private man he was had been really pissed off سے طرف کی Umbridge who tactlessly asked personal سوالات in front of the students, stuff they didn't have to know (plus it can undermine a teacher's authority).

Severus was brutal with Harry in movie!OotP during the Occlumency lessons because there was so much anger between them. Harry had the knack to bring back alive some painful memories in Severus. It's a miracle Severus never killed him. But this miracle can be attributed to Lily. Check every time Severus looked at Harry : he stopped for an instant, most likely thinking "Lily's eyes !" یا "He's got his mother's eyes" (to make a quote), before seeing James again and treat Harry harshly.

A last point : in some institutions, it was deemed acceptable that teachers exert punishment on students that way.

Severus was also quite brutal with Harry in OOTP book, though it wasn't phisycal. Remember the jar of charcroaches he threw after Harry? Just because it missed, doesn't mean it was meant to miss.

Movie Snape did not have enough screen time, there was no time to دکھائیں the 'meanier and nastier' parts of him. He is definitely meanier and مزید petty in the books, especially when it comes to Harry,Neville and Hermione. Movie Snape seems to be مزید mysterious as we don't get to see him in every دن Hogwarts life as we do in the books.

Book!Snape was an asshole to thwart all assholes before him.

Movie!Snape was a strict teacher with a troubled past and never made it farther than that. I've had teachers worse than him, amusingly enough.

I love the way JK wrote Umbridge she really makes my blood boil everytime shes on the page and Imelda Staunton does a great job with her though i would loved to have seen مزید of what was in the book.

The difference is immense, but it is hard to describe...

I think Alan Rickman gave Snape not only a face, he gave him a heart. How he acted and reacted. How he looked, thats one of the things that makes him so adorable. He can only look at someone (or in the camera) and this moment has such an effect on me...unbelievable. His voice is authority itself. He must not be loud یا say a lot.
Alan Rickman was right: J. Rowling gave 'helpful' informations, like I see in his voice for example. But I think, she has not دیا away too much of Snape. And that's what I've missed with the book-Snape. I wasn't sure whether to like یا dislike him. Alan Rickmans Snape is very, very different from that.

What آپ say about the voice is really important. Alan knows how to play with his voice. But there was not only that of course. The posture, the presence, all this physical part. Only Alan could play that part, well the مزید I think about it, the مزید I'm convinced that nobody else could have done it.

In the books, looking back آپ can see how it was always implied that to the students, Severus' behavior always seemed irrationally cruel. It was implied mostly that he was just an inhuman and inconsiderate person. Only during few moments were آپ allowed to glimpse that that there might be reason یا مزید happening that آپ didn't know about, and that was only if آپ were reading and looking for those examples.....(which I was, enthralled سے طرف کی Snape as I was from the beginning). Alan Rickman was able to bring all that deepness of character that we who loved Severus from the beginning knew from the very small hints we had searched dligently for in the کتابیں before having our vindication put into pages in the final book, well, Alan brought that to Snape from the beginning. They say JKR took Alan aside when he was first consdering the role and explained the outcome of his character, which I think was a truly excellent thing, since it let him build Snape's مجموعی طور پر character arc instead of trying to piece it together.. He was able to portray the Severus we all read and percieved from the beginnning of the book series since he knew the character he was building towards instead of trying to create that character in the final 3 movies.

It would be hard to see the فلمیں from his perspective, but it would be interesting. And, سے طرف کی the way, his memories were hard for me too. It will always be hard to see him suffer. But I have the feeling, that I want to know everything about him. I will understand him. That's why I am here. That's why I'm searching for answers, I think.
