Why do آپ guys hate Green دن so much?

So آپ don't like The Killers any مزید because some of their شائقین aren't fond of Green Day? Sorry, it doesn't make much sense to me. And "are we human یا are we dancer?" یا " i got soul but i'm not a soldier". Yes, they mean something. Listen to the entire song and then use your brain a little and something might come to you. Yes, I have listened to Green دن and am familiar with many songs.I'm not so fond of them purely because it's not my kind of music, i'm not into their punk image which seems a bit contrived. It irritates me. I have nothing against Green دن fans. If they have something against me then that's too bad. I love The Killers because their lyrics mean something to me and are مزید than not wanting to be an "american idiot", they aren't afraid to dip into different styles of موسیقی , creative, Brandon has an amazing voice, and a million مزید reasons which I am not going to go into. And yes, I do like Holiday somewhat and Good Riddance.

Ok. I have just read the little conflict between آپ and another Killers fan. I just have to say I really don't think آپ should have attacked someone like that for their opinions. It was insanely and hilariously immature. How can آپ be so quick to judge someone like that and immediately make assumptions. That really pissed me off. And is them being مقبول a reason that people should like them? I thought it was about their "great" music. آپ say she knows nothing of music. آپ used to like The Killers but formed your opinion based on what their شائقین say about Green دن یا even what "precious Brandon Flowers" said. While Cassie کہا she listened intently and had made no judgements on their موسیقی until after she heard it? Did آپ even consider what she had to say? She was not the one who made her opinion based upon what others said. آپ did. How about آپ do that same with The Killers and if آپ don't find them to your liking, well that is that. Thirdly, before آپ start harping on at me, I am a HUGE Green دن fan. Have been since 1994 when I first heard them. I also LOVE The Killers (admittedly not their newer stuff...).

My problem here is that people are entitled to like whoever they want to like. There is no obligation for anyone to like Green Day, یا The Killers etc. People like what they like, and hate what they hate.

Sure, some people have decided that there is a Green دن VS The Killers war (probably because of what Brandon کہا about Green دن in 2004). In my opnion, thats lame and stupid and pathetic. We are all allowed to like whatever we want, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. But we don't have to shit on people who don't like what we like.

What آپ are doing here is EXACTLY the same thing that آپ are complaining about. Personally, I think the lyrics "I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier" are very, VERY meaningful. Just as meaningful as some of my favourite Green دن lyrics. So some people may think that Green دن lyrucs are just as "meaningless" as The Killer's lyrics that آپ think are "meaningless".

So, its great that آپ love Green Day, and آپ don't have to like The Killers if آپ don't want to, but it seems to me that a lot of Green Day's lyrics encourage people to be themselves, not only سے طرف کی standing up for what they believe in, but also سے طرف کی accepting differences and celebrating diversity. I think if the boys from Green دن saw your تبصرے here, they would be ashamed that آپ hadn't picked up on the messages that they have been trying to send their fans.

hmmm. Perhaps it's because everyone has their own taste in موسیقی and it isn't illegal to not like a band? Why in the world would anyone like anyone else less because of other people's opinions? That's a little churlish.

Why I LOVE The Killers: They're very diverse with their sound and lyrics, very creative, are a great live band, I KNOW WHAT THEIR LYRICS MEAN and that "are we human, یا are we dancer?" and "I got soul, but I'm not a soldier" aren't just random quotes and that they have a very meaningful background, I love the sarcasm they add to their lyrics... All and all, they are just a good, solid band who are underappreciated but I don't really care because if I like them that's all that matters and I won't go complain about others' opinions.

Why I dislike Green Day: Billie Joe's voice pisses me off, 98% of their songs annoy me, their songs sound too much the same, they try too hard to be punk rock when they are indeed not, I just flat out don't care for their songs, sound, style, lyrics, vocals, etc. and they just don't appeal to me. And don't say I don't like them because Brandon Flowers doesn't because I've never taken a liking to Green دن in my whole life and have only been a Killers پرستار for a little over a year. I and several other people in the world can form our own opinions without considering others'. That's what Brandon would call "human".

And I honestly don't care whether یا not people like Green دن یا any other band in the world, because it's their personality and actions that I judge them by. I have met Green دن شائقین who are some of the nicest and decent people I've ever met, I won't let the fact that they like Green دن یا some other band/singer that I dislike get in the way of what could be a great person to know. In my life I've only met one actual Killers پرستار and they're a great person. but I could meet a Killers پرستار who could be the most vile person in the world. موسیقی has nothing to do with personality and I feel somewhat embarrassed for آپ right now.


FACT: I actually like Holiday and am partial to Boulevard of Broken Dreams.


Seriously, آپ want to have your own opinion, so why can't everyone else have theirs? You're the one who's ignorant, hating people who don't like Green Day. Grow up.

WOW! I made that pick but i didn't mean for all that to happen! I just wanted to know who likes Green Day. I didn't think The Killers would get involved

Well, The Killers have always been my favourite band, since I was five and I'm thirteen now. To be honest, the way you've written this like (if intended), آپ have no right to judge us on why we like The Killers یا not. I respect your opinion that آپ like them, so why can آپ not be the same? Brandon has even apologized for what he has said. Green Day, however, are my 2nd favourite and I love them as much as The Killers. I won't ever change that. People always say to me, "How can آپ like them both after what Brandon Flowers said? آپ do realize that, don't you?" well, it's because I'm actually mature and I can like whoever I want to like. I love all my favourite bands the same amount and nobody can ever change that. I listen to them both every single day. Oh, and those words don't even mean anything? They mean shitloads to me and guess what? آپ can't and won't ever change that either.
