I think book Bamon has a lot higher probably of ending up together then show Bamon. I've always thought LJ was going to end with Stelena/Bamon, and I'm positive the 'ghost writer' is going to end with Stelena for sure. Bonnie seems like a likely option for Damon.

In the books, Bamon/Delena had the most focus in The Return Trilogy rather than the main couple, Stelena. LJ sent two e-mails (to my knowledge) & said that if she had continued on, she wouldve continued to build up both DE & DB. BUT, I remember reading one of the many e-mails to a DE fan that she said that if shed known that Midnight would be the last book shed write of TVD, she implied/said that she wouldve put Delena as endgame. Its not a stretch, especially cuz of the spoilers for Midnight where Damon tells Elena while hes dying that he has only loved her, but did show a true care for Bonnie. He died to save her cuz he cares for her well-being & cuz Elena told him to go rescue her. Then u had Elena saying that she couldnt imagine living in a world without Damon in it. She even referred to the Delena ship as *epic* & that Damon has always been in love with Elena.

Now with the ghost writer, its most likely theyll end with Stelena & either having Damon &/or Bonnie dying, Damon leaving town, or a Bamon ending. But IMO, thats default endgame & may or may not be the way the REAL author wanted it. The Hunters Trilogy will have the names of the same characters & ships, but r cheap carbon copies of who they used to be. They were given their personalities & true essence by LJ, not by a ghost writer. So it wont be the same.

So for me, the TVD series ends with Midnight, cuz if Delena was just a physical attraction after all their buildup & Damons death at the end, then thats pure bull, forced, ooc, & not canon. JMO.

It's obvious Damon does love Elena,but i think hell end up with Bonnie. They had a short story about there first meeting and are slowly building up. Damon loves Bonnie ,he died for her, and LJ said the new ghsotwriter is pro bamon and stelena.

Actually she said the the ghostwriter is pro STELENA and that it MIGHT be a good book for DB. HOWEVER, the publishers aren't fans of Damon and Bonnie, so there isn't a huge chance.

damon likes bonnie but he loves elena...he always had a soft spot for bonnie and he cared about her a lot. but he always loved elena in the books he had a clear intention of becoming a vampire for elena but when he looked at this girl that looked like bonnie he showed overwhelming desire and passion...
