Stellan Skarsgård won\'t reprise his role as scientist Erik Selvig in Thor: Ragnarok.

Speaking with Den of Geek, Skarsgård stated that the third Thor film "is not on [his] slate." But he did point to his current contract with Disney and Marvel as an indicator of where Selvig could pop up next.

"I have a five-film deal with them, and they still have one option," Skarsgård said. He has previously appeared in Thor, Marvel\'s Avengers, Thor: The Dark World and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

As for the fifth film, Skarsgård mentioned Avengers: Infinity War as a possibility.

Thor: Ragnarok is set to hit theaters November 3, 2017, while the first part of Avengers: Infinity War is slated to premiere May 4, 2018.
