O Tempora o Mores
Oh the times, oh the customs

This مضمون is an appeal to all Twilight شائقین out there, I invite آپ all to think over your good and bad actions here on fanpop and contemplate them.

I have seen and compared examples of the appearances of the fandoms Harry Potter and respectively Twilight when criticism appear in each other’s sites on fanpop and I am astounded سے طرف کی the comparatively aggressive tone the Twilight شائقین carried when they respond to the کہا criticism.

Compare the responses of: link

And: link ;

Notes are to be made that both internet addresses were found سے طرف کی searching for “Harry Potter sucks” and “Twilight sucks”. I will let آپ draw your own conclusions while bearing in mind that these results are not representative for either fandom.

I recently came over this: link
while browsing fanpop and was truly shocked and much saddened to find so many aggressive and outright illegal threats being made upon the originator of this question. Why do شائقین of Twilight feel like they have to defend their fandom so ferociously? Why do they impose threats of death and destruction upon people who dislike their fandom? To me this is comparable to religious fanatism who spawns equally hostile threats.

Compare the following partial quotes and quotes, preserved in their original spelling:

“Satan worshipping scum…Please die and go to hell…I hope آپ get a painful disease like rectal cancer and die a slow painful death.” – Cited partially and out of context from “The God Delusion”, pp 243, Richard Dawkins.

“We will not go quietly away. If in the future that requires violence just remember آپ brought it on. My رائفل is loaded.” - Cited out of context from “The God Delusion”, pp 244, Richard Dawkins.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!! I COULD SHOOT U!!!! GET UR UGLY MEAN OLD SELF AAAAAWWWWWAAAAAAAAAY FROM THIS FANSITE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!!” – Cited from link ; the commentary of the question, stephmfan215.

“stephmfan215 Ill help u kill here thats stupid to come on here if u dont like the saga now dont leave any مزید سوالات and GET OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!” – Cited from same ذریعہ as the گزشتہ one, twimenfan.

“u r stupid for being n the twilight پرستار club so get out
I HOPE U ROT IN HELL AFTER ALL OF THEE PEOPLE KILL U AND I ALSO HOPE TAT U GET EATEN BUY NEWBORNS U BUM FACE” - Cited from link ; the commentary of the question, twiliholic17.

Now I would think that the intention of those quotes are mutually inseparable, death and destruction. Agree یا disagree?

Why be so hostile? Twilight fans? In comparison the worst تبصرہ to link is “YOU.NEED.ENGLISH.LESSONS.” - Addicted2TV.
Then isn’t there a great and dishonourable discrepancy in regards of civility when one compares Twilight and Harry Potter fans? At least when آپ look at the لنکس provided?

What does one make of the frequent fallacious arguments made in favour of Twilight? The good looking Edward and Jacob are frequently inferred سے طرف کی شائقین who believe this is a winning argument against criticism. Well, when one thinks through it properly, it’s not a winning argument, it’s fallacious.
What is a fallacious argument? Well, آکسفورڈ English Dictionary Online defines Fallacy as:
noun (plural fallacies)
•    a mistaken belief, especially one based on unsound arguments: the notion that the camera never lies is a fallacy
•    Logic a failure in reasoning which renders an argument invalid
•    [mass noun] faulty reasoning: the potential for fallacy which lies behind the notion of self-esteem
I would like to point out definition two: Logic a failure in reasoning which renders an argument invalid.
Yes, your argument is invalid, not applicable, a failure in reasoning. And as such can be discounted from the discussion.

What is the fallacious part of the argument “Edward is good looking; therefore Twilight is a good book.”? Well, it is an non sequitur fallacy, the statement/conclusion is not supported سے طرف کی the argument; and therefore it is unsound. For who would believe that a statement is valid when it is unsupported سے طرف کی the argument?
سے طرف کی the way: The آکسفورڈ English Dictionary Online defines Non Sequitur as:
•    A conclusion یا statement that does not logically follow from the گزشتہ argument یا statement.

Summa Summarum: Dear Rabid Twilight fans, we are happily tired of being threatened and bothered سے طرف کی your fallacious statements. “Quousque tandem abutere, amici Twilightiae, patientia nostra? For how much more, Twilight fans, will آپ abuse our patience?” Then can we not coexist in civility? Please?
And to the civil Twilight fans, we are very much grateful for your existence and hopefully آپ will continue do the good work, because we mutually know that respect is two-ways.

In The Twilight Saga, 'la tua cantante' seems very little explained, and, personally, I'm not going to wait for SMeyer to answer the سوال herself and dilute the whole phenomenon with her signature 'SMeyer Science'.

I'm not really sure if this is a good place to post this article. However, it is the though-provoking spot that has to do with twilight, and سے طرف کی looking at the title, آپ can tell this is for sure not a good مضمون to put on the Twilight Spot.
Unless I want to get attacked of course.

A few months ago, a very famous horror writer, Stephen King, criticized Stephanie Meyer and the Twilight Saga. If آپ don't know Stephen King, he is a very known and famous horror writer. Some of his مقبول کتابیں are Carrie, The Shining, It, the Dark Tower Series, and plenty of more. Stephen King had کہا about...
