When Julie Plec tweeted that she couldn't decide what she liked best about 3x08, she didn't mention DE specifically, but her tantalising reference to 'the last scene' caused many eagle-eyed DE شائقین to speculate that it could indeed be Delena. Oh Julie, how آپ love to tease us. آپ knew it was another epic Delena moment to savour and leave us giddy. I know in your دل of hearts آپ love DE too.
Doesn't it seem like Delena get مزید and مزید awesome with every episode? Just when آپ think they couldn't get any مزید amazing, we get another scene that surprises us.

I think Elena could almost be describing herself here. This دکھائیں loves parallels after all. But I don't think it covers how she loves Stefan for a number of reasons. OK, her love for Stefan has been 'blind', but the words 'reckless' and all-consuming isn't very apt for SE. SE's love has been the steadfast type, not passionate, wild, یا with total abandon. It just doesn't describe the kind of relationship SE have. I think if they'd been مزید passionate, their fandom would have numbers to equal ours. The fact that they don't says that SE aren't hugely gripping یا exciting to watch to the majority of the show's audience.
There seems to be an imbalance in SE's love. Some شائقین noticed it last season, when Stefan apparantly lacked the temerity to keep Elena alive. If Stefan had been equally passive towards Damon's imminent death sentence in 2x22, it would have been typical of his character, but the fact that he put himself in such danger, and went to such crazy lengths to save his brother showed how far Stefan was willing to go for someone he couldn't برداشت, ریچھ to lose. Even Elena acknowledges outloud that she won't be the one to save Stefan, and that when he gets through this, it won't be because of her. So it seems to me that Elena's love for Stefan isn't fully reciprocated. And a love can't be reckless and all-consuming if its one-sided.
If there's a parallel between what Elena says about Rebekah and herself, then I think there's a good chance it describes how Elena will love Damon in the future - recklessly, even if it consumes her.
I love how comfortable Elena is with Damon now. I thought it was funny that Damon ignores her hints at wanting to go to bed, and her tugging at the bedclothes. I loved that instead of trying to push him off the بستر as she might have done once, یا griping at him to leave, she gets into بستر and turns off the light, and after they talk, she closes her eyes and goes to sleep as if she's perfectly happy to let him stay there beside her for the whole night. She trusts him, and she likes having him around. If she didn't want him to be there, she would have made it clear she wanted him to go. The fact that she didn't speaks volumes about how far their relationship has come. I love how slowly but surely Delena are being built up. No matter what any sad, embittered Delena-hating viewer might say, they are not progressing too fast. I know some of آپ were disappointed they didn't kiss, but they will. This was another step in that direction. DE deserves to be endgame. They've had the biggest, most epic journey. They've had the most slow-burning build-up. They've evolved and developed the most. They bring out the best in eachother, but even when they've seen each ther at their worst, they've learned from it, forgiven and moved on, and become stronger for it. They are THE ship of the TVD that other fandoms wish they could be, and they DESERVE to be endgame.

A buzzing sound, coming from Caroline’s pedestal cupboard woke her up and she opened her eyes. She took her phone and opened it. She had received a message from an unknown person.
“I know what آپ are and we will destroy you” she read aloud. She swung her legs off the بستر and searched for her ring. When she had found it she put it on and walked to the window. She shoved the curtain and stared outside.
The sky was grey. It seemed like it was going to rain.

“Game on, bitch” she mumbled, before she jumped and landed gracefully on the pavers.

“She’s out, doing something” Stefan explained vague. “Can I come in?”
Katherine shrugged and let him pass. Stefan turned around. “I’m looking for Elena. Is she here?”
“No, she’s at school. آپ should know that” Katherine کہا uninterested.
