Elena: I mean that um, uh I uh need to talk to you, in private.
Stefan: Elena, what is this about? Why do آپ need me to leave?
Damon: Yeah, Elena. Anything آپ say to me can be کہا in front of your DEAREST Stefan, right Elena?
Elena: I um have to go… Stefan, tomorrow please tell me what happened at Harvard. We never really got around to discussing it… I love you.

Elena: I’m sorry Stefan… um Aunt Jenna wanted to do some “family bonding activity” thing tonight and I totally spaced. I’ll call آپ later tonight kay?

Elena: I really have to go… (Kisses Stefan on the cheek) I’ll call you. I promise.
(On the way, Elena risks a small glance at Damon. Damon has a confused look on his face and she quickly looks away when she makes eye contact)

Damon: Just stop lying to yourself Elena, for one second. Just feel. Can آپ do that for me Elena? Can آپ just feel?
Elena: I cant.. not with آپ Damon.
Damon: Why not precious? Tell me why. (Damon strokes her cheek while she shivers)
Elena: Because if I just feel, I’m afraid of what I’ll do.
Damon: I am too. But don’t we owe it to each other? Don’t آپ think?
Elena: Owe what?
Damon: To feel. Just this once. We owe it to each other to feel something. TO be satisfied once… just once.

Damon: Making me human... I'm not. I never was.

Damon: But vampires aren' t supposed to want to be human. We have that switch for a reason, Elena. It's the only way we can deal with what we are.

Damon: No, we're not. I have to go. (Damon gets up to leave but Elena grabs his hand)

(Damon looks like he's about to say something but gets text and checks what it is)
Elena: Who is it?
Damon: It's Stefan...
Elena: What'd he say?

Ok so I was just randomly listening to the 2 songs off the TVD soundtrack from episode 1x01 and 3x19...and I noticed something that blew my mind. I just thought I'd share it. We all know how influential the موسیقی can be as far as foreshadowing goes. This analysis just furthers my belief that Delena were meant to be all along and from the very beginning.
So when Elena is going to the cemetery in the very first episode of season 1, unbeknownst to her, Damon is hiding in the fog watching her. While this is going on, the song in the background (Say All I Need سے طرف کی One Republic) has lyrics that go "All I need is the air I breathe, and a place to rest my head."
In season 3 episode 19, Damon and Elena finally kiss passionately. The accompanying song (Never Let Me Go سے طرف کی Florence and The Machine) has a verse that says "I found the place to rest my head."
