I think all of these girls are smart. The way Merida is able to figure out the curse that happened before and that he became Mordu was pretty smart, she might move up on my list. It's just that she doesn't even ask questions about the cake and isn't specific about what she wants the witch to do that is really dumb. Plus how she's able to bend the rules to win her own hand is pretty clever. Belle seems like a very bright and intellectual person. However the fact that she goes to the West Wing and then leaves to go off into the forest where she's defenseless was very dumb.

Cinderella doesn't really do anything dumb and you can tells from her snarky comments and the facial expressions she gives that she's very intellectual. Ariel, while many disagree and I'm pretty sure a certain hater will comment with a rant that I won't even bother reading and will just ignore, is actually really clever. Just like Mulan she's very quick thinking and is able to make the most with her surroundings. With the shark attack she thinks very fast and tries to slow it down, she even traps it in that whatever it was. You can tell in this picture that she's very skeptical of Ursula and doesn't really buy her whole "I've changed" things. People mistake bravery and ambition for stupidity.

^I agree except for the fact that you can do something brave and stupid at the same time. You can also do something out of ambition have it still be stupid. Ariel is clever and all, but she does seem like one of those stupid, naive teenagers with those selfish decisions she makes. I could be wrong but she does not seem like a very logical or intellectual person.

And about the Belle thing, when a ragin beast just roared in your face at nighttime and pretty much almost killed you, you would not take it lightly or even think. She was probably way too traumatized by that and just felt the need to run out.

Anyway, her or Cinderella.

Yeah. Not being bias at all.

I know some people consider her a genius because of her reading books, which doesn't make all that much sense, but I do find her at least averagely intelligent.

Cinderella is very smart. Belle is my next choice

I don't think any of them are particulary smart, though.

Most level-headed one. Belle is only book smart to me.
