Any type of non-physical abuse, should always be evaluated at a case سے طرف کی case basis.
In Edward and Bella's case, it was not done to demonstrate his authority یا brute strength. He did it for what he thought was her benefit, not his own.
I believe the intent is always مزید important than the action when it comes to non-physical "abuse".
~~~~~~ ترمیم ~~~~~~ I'll give آپ an example. In this scenario, I'm putting myself into Edward's shoes.
There's a family that lives across the street, and I'm pretty convinced that they are dog murderers. I have a dog that really loves going to their house because it always smells like salami and chicken. (My dog loves the scent of salami and chicken.)I would rather my dog not go visit the family of dig murderers, no matter how much he loves the house, so one night, I tie him to a درخت outside. He's not used to being tied to a درخت and he really doesn't like it, but I still find it necessary, since it's better than him being murdered. I don't find this to be abusive behavior. I could be incredibly passive and just shout after the dog, as he runs away to the murderes,calling after him "Don't go, dog, don't go, it's not safe!!" because i'm certain the dog won't listen to me.
Explain more. If someone did that to YOU, would آپ think the same way?
even if they are wolf, they only kill 'the cold one' their only enemy and the reason they are shifted into wolf. now,IF they killed/hurt Bella for whatever reason what would/could they do. and I put Bily because billy know that they are werewolf, and if bella hurt what will he told charlie, his best friend? I do believe as long as Bella Human they have no reason to hurt her. they are protector not murder.
Edward never کہا that the wolves wanted to kill Bella. He knew what their purpose was. What he did know was that they have unsteady tempers and could lost control at any moment, as is what happened with Sam and Emily. Not having reason to hurn someone doesn't automatically make them safe. He witnessed first hand what was going through Jasper's head when he was about to attack Bella. He knew Jasper didn't really intend to kill Bella, but it was a momentary lapse in control. Still, Billy existing wouldn't stop a بھیڑیا from losing control. If Bella got hurt, he would probably say Bella got attacked سے طرف کی a wolf. I doubt Charlie would suspect anything supernatural for no reason.
Hmmmmmm...no. I just think it's kinda awkward for someone to do that. Like who wakes up in the morning and goes ''Ooh, I think I'll take the engine out of someone's car today!''
It wasn't a random act of vandalism. He knew to do it because he read Alice's mind and knew what Bella was about to do.
not abusive no, but it's not a right thing to do anyway. let's just say it's one of those thing that can get آپ in trouble with authority (aka:police/charlie). if آپ get caught, that is.
I agree with TangoThang. And too, Edward is being a bit hypocritical. He says Jacob and the wolves are too dangerous for Bella, yet he himself is just as dangerous, perhaps even مزید considering he thirsts for her blood. And also, the only violence attempt from any of the wolves was when she punched Paul in New Moon. Of the Cullens, one of them (Jasper) tried to kill her in New Moon and at least two of them (Edward and Rosalie) have thought of/gotten the temptation to drink her blood.
سے طرف کی this point, Edward was no longer tempted to drink her blood.
that is not entirely true cassie-1-2-3 Edward is still tempted to drink her blood, just he hides it better. there are a lot of times where it colored his actions all the way up till after Bella was turned, and Edward was having problems stopping him self from drinking all (or almost all) of Bella's blood when he turned her.
I don't remember that at all. What I remember was Edward being afraid Bella dies in New Moon, which shocked him out of the temptation to injure her at all. It is true that he still foud her scent appealing, but that does not mean he lacked the will power to not want to drink her.
