The teachers are always fighting. the kids are always casting spells on eachother, sometimes they get points taken away, but theyre given more points for being brave enough to fight. it teaches that fighting is punished, but you gain respect, so its still worth the punishment

Lol, sorry i don't want to get involved with the argument, Everyone has their own opinions... I just wanted to say something about the love thing because the importance of Love is mentioned so much in Harry Potter... I'm just one of those people who like looking through these discussions.

I adore the fact that this whole forum has been completely pwned by the "1000 reasons why HP is better" forum. And the cherry on top of the cake is that it seems like the person who opened the "HP is better" discussion actually tried to prove the opposite. But I am hugely enjoying myself reading the reasoning behind why Twilight is better.
There is, however, a difference between personally liking a series and thinking that it's generally a good one. There's nothing wrong with liking Twilight if that's the way you roll - just do consider that you don't necessarily need to justify yourself if you do like it, because you don't OWN a reason to anybody -and you are only making yourself look a little silly trying to pull reasons why it's good out of a hat when there is nothing to pull.

I mean, I like to watch Babylon 5 but I'm not kidding myself into believing it's awesome tv :p I just like it because I do!

3. Twilight goes more in depth with the emotions. You can feel Bella's pain when Edward leaves her. You can feel her confusion between Edward and Jacob. You can feel her love for Renesmee

If the reader gets cought up in the events of the story, the success of that story is sure. The complexity of the Twilight characters is obvious, and furthermore one can see the process of evolution that they go through in the 4 books.

I haven't read the series since the first time, which was around a year and a half ago, so I can't go in depth about this.

So Twilight is perhaps better in the aspect that none of the fans favourite characters died...

From what I've observed, the biggest struggles people encounter have little to do with other people as individuals.
The vampiric instincts is the evil. Resistance is the good. The vampires that resist are the ones who can be trusted, and the ones who don't, can't.
73. It's different in Breaking Dawn, though.

In BD, some human killing vampires are on the good side because the struggle changes. The evil is now interpretation (which in real life almost always causes huge problems). All being willing to assist in clearing it up are the good guys. All those not willing or those who misinterpret are the bad guys.

No character actually does anything evil, but they represent evil aspects of life.
