Background: Nijel was born under Asurvia's territory and from the moment he was born, he was expected by his family and those around him to excel as a warrior and leader and thus he was named as such. A conqueror, a hero, a born leader and prince, the one who would bring out pride, prestige, and glory. As he grew up, his overall height seemed to concern people of his ability to live out what everyone had set to be his destiny, but that seemed not to hold bars against him. Having been taught strategy and combat by some of the best fighters and hunters in the territory, Nijel quickly excelled despite his frame and figure. His involvement in the forces that served under Asurvia eventually grew to the point that even Asurvia, a goddess who only selectively showed her face, blessed him with her presence. He ended up becoming a well recognized commander - one of the four leading ones under Asurvia - and as one of the prodigies.

However, a few years after Kye broke off and moved away from Tooty due to what seemed to be a quarrel, it became noted that Kye began to push her boundaries a bit more than she should have, seemingly much to Asurvia's annoyance. As of such, he and some troops were sent out to make the message clear and to remind Kye of her place. For a while everything seemed to go well until a suited black haired man (Yansei) entered the battle field and abnormally, he seemed to carry strength similar to that of the Goddess of Death herself. It was because of this frightening strength that they were obliterated in battle - Nijel himself being killed first hand by Yansei.

Oddly, however, instead of dying and being brought to Jasoph, he seemed to oddly find himself in Kye's territory among several other souls of the dead. Some seemed to be well, while others seemed almost to be rotting into monsters themselves. It was both absurd, confusing, and almost like a limbo and purgatory but it by no means was somewhere he deserved to be stuck in. He was a hero, a conqueror - not some chicken waiting to be killed and eaten so he quickly made his way towards the clear tall and towering capital, killing a good few officials on the way. He may be dead, but in this realm, he seemed to still have energy in him, and if he did, he would finish off the job. Just as he was about to make it to the castle itself, Kye, the Goddess of Death herself, confronted him. This naturally lead into a battle to which Nijel was quickly defeated. Under her fur-covered foot however, she gave him an offer. If conquest, power, and glory was what he wanted, then she had a place for him.

Initially he refused a good few times, but somewhere between how quickly she defeated him and somewhere in her very voice made him change his mind. Under Asurvia, his greatness was limited. Following under Kye, he could truly flourish and place his dominance above everyone else. "Ill take you up on your offer, but do remember - one of these days I will pay you back for this fight." He claimed as he then was brought into Kye's castle among the others she brought in. There in the castle lived the same black haired man and a white haired woman, both of which seemed close to the Goddess, and another man who would later leave the comfort of the castle. Meanwhile, Nijel quickly became Kye's main commander and general for the upcoming full-on war.
