Back in 1800ds, penguins were killed, and eaten, and clubbed and skinned by early explorers. The people would collect dozenes upon dozens of penguin eggs and eat them. They would put live penguins in HOT water and watch them die! The people would wear penguin feather hats on their heads and they would use the penguin's oil for lamps. The people in 1827 killed millions of penguins everday. This is VERY sad, Isn't it?

This is what the people used to kill penguins in. They are called Penguin Digesters. They are still here today near penguin colonies.
