that isn't tension, its a flippin plothole used to keep شائقین while gaining old ones. Pokémon would have been better with an actual storyline where each season built upon the last and used actual sense. if they wanted to use tension, he could only use the pokemon he gets in that region and keeps pikachu on the side lines
