Have they ever covered what happens when a vampire drinks another vampire's blood in the books?

I have read کتابیں before where a vampire that drinks from another vampire gains their powers/strength/powers similar to thiers to different degrees. Sometimes it's something that just happens between maker and child. I like stronger pep-in-his-step Stefan, but I dont want him to feed on humans. Why not set him loose on other vampires?
