It was the night of the gathering and I still wanted to stay in the warm moss and feathers of my nest and have Jaycloud beside me to keep me warm. I got up and opened my eyes and it was barely dawn. I got up without stirring Jaycloud. I looked out the entrance of my ماند, خلوت خانہ and looked out at the clearing before me cats coming in from dawn patrol, I saw the nursery become alive with the faint shrieks of playing kits. I walked out of my den. Lightheart was padding up to me. "Morning Moonstar I have something to tell you." I nodded at him to to continue. "The dawn patrol picked up the scent of Fuzzywhisker and Nightclaw. It seems they were trying to come back to the clan but there was another scent one I had never scent before." I stared at him with shock and amazement. the thought of our warriors coming back to the camp was great news but the unfamiliar scent could be a threat. "Take me to where they smelled the strange scent." Lightheart half gasped half screeched. "Are آپ sure Moonstar we don't know if it's a threat." " I کہا take me to the place." Lightheart hesitated. "Lightheart if آپ think I'll be safer assign three یا four warriors to come with me." Lightheart darted off to the warriors den.He came back with Tunnelrock,Turtlemoss,Featherleaf, and Darkfang."Lightheart آپ were always the one to be safer the better." I purred flicking my tail on Lightheart's shoulder. "I don't want آپ to get hurt Moonstar." The six of us walked out of the camp and started running through the woods. Lightheart stopped at the starry cave. At once I scented the unfamiliar scent the had smelled.The rest of the cats behind me halted اگلے to me. "There." Lightheart pointed with his tail to a small burrow that was made no less than four sunrises ago. I cautiously walked towards the burrow. Lightheart whipped in front of me before I could go any further."I'm not a kit Lightheart آپ can let me go." He flicked his tail to the others to stay close to her. He then moved away. I again started to walk towards the burrow it was bigger then a لومڑی hole but smaller then a بیجر, بادگار set. The scent emanating from the burrow was almost unbearable. I stuck my nose in the burrow. Darkfang took my scruff and pulled me out and gave me a stern look. Then only to disappear into the tunnel. A few moments passed and he didn't come out. Tunnelrock slid into the tunnel and only moments later both cats were running out. "Get back." Hissed Darkfang. The remaining cats ran as fast as they good. When Moonstar looked behind her there was a huge gray dog chasing after the six cats. Darkfang jumped on the dog and raked his claws on the animals sides. Turtlemoss looked at Lightheart and Lightheart nodded. Then Turtlemoss turned around to help Darkfang. Tunnelrock leaped from the bushe he was knocked into and scraped the dogs muzzle while red oozing blood came out. Darkfang was thrown off the dogs back and hit the side of a tree. I broke off the chase with Lightheart and ran to Darkfangs side. As soon as I reached him ha staggered up and went chasing after the dog. I went back to Lightheart's side and kept running. Just as i turned around I noticed we were leading the animal straight to the camp."Lightheart we have to go another way.Were leading it straight to the camp." Just then a yowl sounded from somewhere in the bushes and it was a hunting patrol. Frostpaw,Rainymouse,Flashrose,and Birdwing. "Thank Starclan they came." Flashrose bounded after the dog and dug her claws into it's paws. Frostpaw bit the dogs tail and with that it left just as fast as it came. "Nicely done all of you." I meowed in between pants.I looked over all the cats and nothing major but a few scratches. Frostpaw's eyes shone with gratitude سے طرف کی being praised سے طرف کی her mother. The nine cats all headed for camp. The hunting patrol went to get their fresh kill. "When we get back to camp I expect all of آپ to see Hollywind." "Yes Moonstar." They all کہا at once.


Back at camp everything was normal. The eight cats followed Moonstar to the medicine cat den. Hollywind came out of her ماند, خلوت خانہ and stared in astonishment at the cats that were following Moonstar. "What in the name of Starclan happened?" " Lightheart,Tunnelrock,Turtlemoss,Darkfang and I went looking for what ever is in our territory."
"We ran all the way to starry cave and there was a burrow beside the cave. Darkfang went into it and then Tunnelrock went in after him. They came out with a huge gray dog chasing after them. It chased us to the weeping درخت and the hunting patrol came." Hollywind glares at her bother Darkfang. Then sighs, "You always did dive head first into things." "I just wanted to save my leader." I put my tail on his mouth so he wouldn't start an argument with his sister. "Hollywind may آپ please look at the rest on the cats. Flashrose has a slash above her eye but thats the worst we have." "Yes I will look at the cats but when I'm done I will send Lightheart to fetch آپ for me okay." "Yes." "Now one at a time." I walked away and went looking for Mistypaw and Soulpaw. Luckly they were returning from a training session with Foxflight and Runningleaf. "Mistypaw!Soulpaw!" I called. The two apprentices raced from the entrance of the camp to their mother. "Yes mom." They کہا in sequence. I sat down. "Your sister is in the medicine cats den. She's okay. آپ may ask Hollywind if آپ may see her but don't pester her okay." The young cats eyes widened when they heard there sister was in the medicine cats den. As soon as I let them leave they darted to see their sister. Jaycloud brushed up against me and I twined my tail with his. "I heard what happened. Are آپ okay?" "Yes I'm fine. Thank you." I sat down and he did the same. I began to groom his ruffled فر, سمور and he did mine. I looked up at the sky. It was nearly sun down. I got up and climbed to the سب, سب سے اوپر of the High-Tree."All cats old enough to catch there own prey شامل میں beneath the high درخت for a clan meeting!" Most of the cats began to gather. The cats in the medicine cats ماند, خلوت خانہ came out and sat سے طرف کی one another. "I Must announce that we have a threat in our territory.Every cat must stay away from it.It lives سے طرف کی the starry cave. No cat is to go out alone." There gasps from the crowd. Most cats had the look of worry in their face and some had shock. I signaled for there to be silence with a flick of my tail. "Now I must commend Tunnelrock,Turtlemoss,Flashrose,Lightheart,Darkfang,Rainymouse,and Frostpaw for helping me attack the threat in this territory." All the cats in the gathering started chanting the warriors and appretice's name. I raised my tail for silence after they were done cheering. "Now I must pick the cats that will go to the gathering." And with that I climbed down the High Tree. I walked over to Lightheart."Do آپ want to take the cats who fought today?" "Are they fit to go." "Flashrose needs some rest but that's all." "Good they are coming and Wolftiger,Runningleaf,Foxflight and their apprentices'." "Yes Moonstar I will tell them." He walked off to the warriors den.


It was almost time to leave all the cats were there. Jaycloud brushed his tail on my shoulder. "Be محفوظ I don't want آپ to come back hurt because whatever hurt آپ will die." He had a look of protectiveness and concern in his eyes." I won't let anything touch me Jaycloud." I purred. Lightheart gave me the signal that we had to leave. I nodded and gave Jaycloud one last look and ran out of camp.

We made it to the gathering place on time. Mossclan were the only ones there. They're always early. I کہا to myself. We raced down and I jumped up on the the cave rock. Doveclan and Flowerclan arrived within moments. Both leaders climbed on the cave rock. Stripestar of Flowerclan yowls the signal to start the meeting. All the cats below us silenced. Whiskerstar of Mossclan padded up to the entrance of the cave. "Mossclan are well fed and the prey is running well. We had a couple kittypets پار, صلیب into our territory but Smokeyleaf and Gorsefeather chased them away." He looked back at the other leaders and stepped away so one of the others may speak. Sparrowstar stepped up. There was a hiss from the crowd but he ignored it and it was soon silenced. "As I was about to say my clan is well. We have a new warrior." There was an eerie silence when he کہا this. "Please welcome Wormtail." Only Doveclan cheered. Sparrowstar stepped back and Stripestar stepped forward. "My clan is doing well. We just appointed two new apprentices. Sharppaw and Rockpaw. Everyone cheered. There was a hiss from the back of the cave and Sparrowstar lashed his tail from side to side. Whiskerstar looked at the young leader with scorn. Sparrowstar soon crept back and was hidden in the shadows. Stripestar looked back at Sparrowstar in puzzlement. I stepped آگے and he step back. "My clan is well the prey is running excellently. We have a new enemy." All the cats below starred in silence. "A few of my warriors have gone missing and there is an enormous animal roaming freely." Shocked gasps and shrieks sound from below.I raised my tail for silence. It was a few moments before the cats below settled. "A few of my warriors as آپ might have heard chased it away, but do not underestimate it. It is bigger than three warriors." I looked down to look at the faces below me. Most were shock stricken and others fear. "Also I just want to ask. Sparrowstar have آپ seen any Midnight clan cats recently?" "Why would آپ ask a سوال like that Moonstar?" He snapped. "Because I have missing cats and they were heading to your clan." "What do آپ mean there was no scent telling they were." "Because they crossed the stream on your side of the territory."
