I think it would be the same in real life; if I started talking with a stranger, I would be more inclined to tell them personal and important stuff than I would to someone I knew well.
But I would never have enough courage (for lack of a better word) to start talking to that stranger in the first place. Plus, here, it is more likely that you will find people who understand your viewpoint.

i don't know anybody in person from here :D haha - but i found good friends i talk to very often by a messenger, webcam, mic and stuff. lol. and i also have to watch my words - my boyfriend is on fanpop! :D:D:D well... but i wouldn't say anything that could hurt him even if he wasn't on fanpop... so...
