Lucerne28 Seriously when is the witch going to die?! First it was Merlin, now it is Gwen's turn to play unwitting assassin. Since we know Arthur survives until at least episode 13, I am going to assume that Gwen is just as an inept assassin as Merlin was. I fervently hope that unlike Gwen and Gaius who kept their mouths shut, and didn't tell Arthur what had happened to Merlin, that Merlin engages his brain and tells Arthur that his wife is under a spell. Hell she is sharing a bed with Arthur all she has to do is smother him in his sleep or knife him after she tires him out after a vigorous round of sex. Truthfully Gwen should be the most effective tool that Morgana has in her box of cracker jacks. No one else is as close to Arthur as Gwen, and can get the king in vulnerable positions as Gwen. I can only assume, and I hope that I am proven right, that the reason Gwen doesn't kill Arthur is because the enchantment is a bit like hypnosis in which a person can not do anything which goes against his or her personal values or beliefs. Thus getting Gwen to kill Arthur would be something Morgana could not force Gwen to do. As precedent for my assumption is Lancelot du lac , the moment Gwen realized how much she had hurt Arthur, she snapped out of the enchantment and was able to remove the bracelet, and break the spell. I am hoping that we see glimpses of Gwen struggling/trying to break the compulsion to do her husband harm.

Queenbb1 The thing about this is that it was funny when Merlin was trying to kill Arthur in 4x06. But it will just be plain evil and harsh watching Gwen try to murder him.

EPaws Again, I am a totaly whacko cause I see delish possibilities with this because Angel is such an amazing actress. What I don't like is that trust thing rearing its head again. Arthur and Guinevere are back to loving and trusting each other implicitely and that hag Morgs is at it again playing off her brothers greatest link to normality. No that bitch just needs to die, that is the first thing cause she is just a jerk. Two, not that interesting a villain to be perfectly honest. As far as villains go I want to kick her down the stairs. I think these episodes will turn out interesting. Yes, this is me as per usual going in the opposing direction of everyone else on this. Maybe that darker, that interesting is starting to happen. Crossing finges.

famfan No, they should be good if handled by a competent writer. The episodes with Gwen in them are usually among my faves of the year. I hate that they are bring the trust thing up again too. But o well this is Merlin, and thinking of new ideas will just make their heads hurt.

lailastar More like lady and maid and tolerance by Morgana in the first 2 episodes, which went south by episode 3 and that tolerance ended, once she realized that Gwen was destined to become queen, has tried to kill her ever since. No... she has wanted nothing but pain for Gwen and death of her husband. What she does to her in episode 6 has nothing to do with friendship. Although I understand what you mean, the viewers will see a Gwen and Morgana maybe laughing and talking again like old times, because it appears on the surface they are allies again, but it remains that Gwen is still Morgana's puppet, nothing more.

KshMcKenzie First Merlin tried to kill him then her brother Eylan and now Gwen and the were all possess by something I don't like and its for three episode you get Evil Gwen yeah No I'm not happy. And someone really needs to kill Morgana she annoying.

kbrand5333 Okay. So what's stopping Merlin from just finding Morgana and simply offing her? He's supposed to be the most powerful wizard in the world, right? Just stop her damn heart or something. Sheesh. Well, I KNOW the reason why. There wouldn't be a show if he did. And people would be like, [whiny voice] "Oh, I can't believe Merlin did that, I thought he was such a good person, boo hoo hoo..." Sorry. leona21 Hmmmmm! When Merlin tried to kill Arthur in "A Servant of Two Masters", it was made into a comedy and fandom was all like "poor Merlin". It will be interesting to see how they will portray Gwen. I'm sure they will make it evil and let's see how much sympathy she will get from certain factions of the fandom. Having said all that I am hoping it is a cracking episode.

Bonne-Bell Meh. I actually liked "A Servant of Two Masters" and that's because Merlin didn't end up as a hapless victim and actually got to confront Morgana. Seeing as how Alator is going to have to be brought in to help Gwen, I doubt that's going to happen in this storyline so I'm not really excited about this episode. If it turns out to be a good, non problematic episode, great. If not, then well at least we can enjoy Angel's acting.

MOPENDRAGON I agree with all that say 1) Kill Morgs already this witch is annoying as hell (I say bring back Morgause and Cenred as the show baddies), 2) I look forward to Angel's acting, 3) This is such an unoriginal rehash of "Servant of Two Master" (and yes I am so with you Lailastar...I want the Queen to try and kill the King through boob suffocation) and 4) I am so not liking the harm this may bring to the Pendragon marriage...I know that this Gwen enchantment will be revealed but I just don't like rehashing the trust issue in their marriage. This show is really getting on my damn nerves with how they are effing up all these wonderful characters!!!

HMGwen It would be a nice twist if it was revealed Gwen was enchanted into cheating on Arthur. Alator is being brought in this time, and I think with his powers he can produce the evidence or have the power to go back in time to show how events unfolded. Hey I'm not a professional writer but I can still come up with better stuff than this crew I think.

HMGwen And the most STUPID thing about this is Morgana's stunts only reinforces people's beliefs that magic is bad. For Arthur, this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. He's going to declare war on Morgana; and thanks to his alliances, he will have the forces of FOUR KINGDOMS to back him up (Camelot, Carleon, Nemeth and now Odin's). In 5x04 she partnered with Odin (who eventually abandoned her) to get his army to help her take Camelot for the umpteenth time, AND she has magic. How is she going to deal with four fighting forces? Anyone who willingly aids and abeds Morgana wins a date with the executioner. I think it will get so bad those in the magical community will rat her out because of fear of annihilation, the Great Purge 2.0.

golden62 I am not looking forward to this episode at all. Gwen and Morgana working together by force with Morgana's enchantment on her, is not something I want to see. I truly hope that this time it is known that she is enchanted and not thrown under the rug like the last fiasco. I agree this will only reinforce Arthur's belief that all magic is bad. I just want Morgana dead, not now but right the hell now!!!!!!
