Bonne-Bell I noticed that too when I was watching the video yesterday. I thought it might be an engagement ring but it's on her right hand so I don't know. Maybe it's a promise ring.

HumbleQueen Funny you brought this up when you did. I was curious about her fiddling with her ring at BFI and when I saw this one when she was cooking, I thought it looked different. So a little while ago I looked at the BFI video again and it's so hard to tell, but I thought that one had more of a stone, but I'm not sure. I saw something "glitter" on that one a couple of times I thought, but again, maybe my eyes are deceiving me? Help me out, somebody, and go take a look at BFI video and see if you can see better than I. I would doubt this is an engagement ring that she would have with her station in life, and even if she had one and it was a secret thing, she would probably wear on her right hand until it was public. Just my guess. Wonder what others think. Seriously. I want somebody to see if they can get a look at her ring at BFI and set me straight if I'm wrong that it's a different one. Actually, Angel fiddles with her hands A LOT.

Nasty_Nat Yes, Angel plays with it a lot even at BFI video. To me, it looks like the same one Nanna. I believe that is a engagement ring, she puts it on her right hand and there's a reason for that only her knows. And in time, it will be relieve, but in her own time. I love it because while playing with it, she's sending a sign or wink to the person involve. Letting that person know that she's happy and that they are fine. Love it.

HumbleQueen Oh boy, now I'm going to be obsessing over this ring thing. Ok, guys, at BFI, look at the ring full screen during the moments when the interviewer addresses her directly, around 3:30 and after. About 3:54 you can almost see a stone? No? HumbleQueen Oops, I uploaded same time as you Nat. So you think it's the same then. If so, I vote for a promise ring or something because while this is a sweet ring, probably for engagement she'd have something more substantial, right? Now as far as I'm concerned, if she was given this as a promise of marriage, I would have no trouble at all if they kept it simple for now and makes a lot of sense. Maybe it would even be a good thing under the circumstances if they didn't want it public for a while. How about wedding ring? Anybody think of that? LOL, that would be one for the books!

ELockley72Garoo I don't think it's a wedding ring unless she's put it on her right hand so noone would guess.!!! She does seem to figet quite a lot though.

HumbleQueen LOL. We are so funny. It's probably nothing more than one of those friendship rings that people wear for one reason or another. She had better stop all that fidgeting with it. We never would have bothered to think about it, if she hadn't, lol

lv2rt Angel's subconscience body language is telling off on her. There's something very important about that ring and I bet she doesn't even realize she's doing it. The ring is new to her and she is still trying to wrap herself around it mentally, thus her fingers keep wrapping around the ring. She has to touch it to mentally accept that it's there. For her subconscious mind it's like having a new finger that showed up one morning when she woke up. She's also nervous and the ring gives her comfort. I don't know the details of this but I can say for sure, she didn't buy it herself and she didn't decide to wear it for sytle and fashion.

EPaws Well done, Linda. You totally get it, but then you are a legal eagle lol and understand the psychological patterning involved with the behaviour. It is not just fidgeting. The ring is acting as ballast also, as you have pointed out.

Itasmallworld I thought that too, thus I figure it was a promise ring, something that has meaning to her and something recent because she is still getting used to it being there. I think I should called this group CSI Arwenites or Merlin's Investigators agency. Now we need a tag line....LOL

lv2rt I don't think it's a promise ring. Promise rings are great, had one myself, but Angel is 31 (I believe) a promise ring wouldn't have that much sentimental value for Angel to give it so much attention albeit, subconsciously.

Itasmallworld When I said promise ring, I just using a phrase, demonstrating that it's more than fashion jewelry. I think that there could be a great emotional attached to the ring, but what?

BradAngeleyes I don't think promise rings are the norm in the UK, it's more or an American teen thing. I've noticed her playing with a ring, the one at Kapow looked a bit different from what I remember but she still played with it. My thoughts are that this one is more of an engagement ring but worn on the right hand for some reason, mayabe to throw us off the scent, although it is a bit small. She played with this one A LOT but as someone said, maybe because she was nervous or wanting to draw attention to it. If it is an engagement ring, he obviously bought the wrong size, because it moves too freely on her finger.

HumbleQueen Lol, Lorna! I noticed the same thing--the ring moves too easily on her hand ,so it needs to be size reduced. Bless her heart, but Angel really fiddles with her hands when she's nervous and the last two times we saw her she was quite nervous sitting there. At Kapow she did fiddle some, but it wasn't to the same extent. I hope whatever that ring is all about, that it does bring her comfort.

lv2rt IDK about it being too large. It's possibly that it needs to be resized but it doesn't "hang" as a size too large would and it's possible that her finger doesn't fit a standard size perfectly. But the ring seems to fit well enough that it's secure on her finger. Now as for an engagement ring. Well, that would answer a lot about that ring and why she's mentally fascinated with it. People wear rings all the time and they don't have a need to touch it continously if at all. It's a piece of jewelry, like earrings or a necklace, no need to touch it unless it's important in some other way and especially if it's meaning is so deep that the subconscious mind is affected by it. As for the States and promise rings, they are growing out of use as well. Now it's eternity rings that are more likely to be given not promise rings. But nevertheless, whatever that ring is it's very important to her and she's very attached to it for whatever reason. I don't see Angel wearing any kind of ring that's large and showy. She doesn't seem the type to want anything like that even if $100K is easily affordable.

HumbleQueen Good, good points, Linda. I see Angel exactly the same way which I why I felt if this ring is something important, it goes along with how I see her. Also, now that I think on it more, I agree that though it slips around on her finger easily, it is secure. Of course although we're all speculating here, which is tons of fun and I love nothing more than healthy conjecture, one thing we can know for certain is that if this ring does have meaning, Angel and whoever have not made the meaning public and they'll let us know if and when the right time comes. It would also explain why it's on her right hand and not the left. That would be so cool if Angel has a big secret that she's keeping from the fans. Nobody deserves it more for a lot of reasons. I hadn't thought of it that way as I see so many others have. I thought it was just nervousness, but most people are seeing something going on mentally or subconsciously so I guess I'll join in, lol!
