The XXI Olympic Winter Games has officially come to a close on Sunday, February 28 with a closing ceremony held at the official venue, BC Place, in Vancouver. Helping to celebrate the end of the 2010 games was among others Canadian singer Avril Lavigne who dazzled audiences with her surprise performance.
Looking stunning in her red mini-dress with black strappy heels, the 25-year-old punk rocker took the stage after fellow Canadian singers Michael Buble and Alanis Morissette performed their numbers. The singer who contributes to the soundtrack for "Alice in Wonderland" delivered two of her hit songs "Happy Ending" and "Girlfriend".
The ex-wife of Sum 41's Deryck Whibley wasn't the only one rocking the Winter Olympics stage during the closing ceremony. Nickelback and k-os also delighted audiences with their rocking numbers. Nickelback belted out their latest hit "Burn It to the Ground", while k-os closed the evening with "Eye Know Something".
The closing ceremony also brought out many other Canadian stars. "Star Trek" legend William Shatner, "Back to the Future" سٹار, ستارہ Michael J. لومڑی and "Beetlejuice" actress Catherine O'Hara were among those who took the stage to celebrate their love of Canada. Singer Neil Young, on the other hand, sang "Long May آپ Run".
