need help picking a new book

For non-fiction, I can't stop recommending "The Warmth of Other Suns" سے طرف کی Isabel Wilkerson. She focuses on 3 people in different decades during the Great Migration, but provides plenty of background information during this entire era. It's an astounding read.

For fiction, earlier this summer I came across the author, Cornelia Read, who now has her 4th book out. She's been writing a mystery/suspense series featuring a rather messed up protagonist who keeps coming across crimes. She's mouthy and funny, and is descended from a line of seriously messed up rich people. Very fast reads. Her first book is "Field of Darkness."
