Alex's PoV

I looked around my cabin. Dark and empty. The way it looks when everyone was at breakfast. I just....wanted to be alone for once, I guess. Normally I never ate breakfast, anyway. The only reason I went was to see my friends. (And because I'm head of our کیبن xP) Travis led our کیبن instead. What freaked me out was that I didn't even care. Didn't care that Travis was doing my job. My friends...everyone was on vacation seeing someone, visiting someone, یا in Anna's case, taking care of her kids.
"They're ignoring you." A کڑوا, تلخ voice in my head said.
"No they're not," I thought back. "They would never do that."
The sad thing was...I didn't really convince myself. I jumped off my bunk, onto the wooden floor below. My lighter fell out of my hoodie pocket. I sighed and picked it back up. Taking a sparkler out from under my pillow, I lit it and waved it in the air, unenthusiastically.
"What a special دن for me....." I sighed.
Something shiny caught my eye. My iPod was lying at the end with a note on top. I picked up the note, cautiously. Like it was some kind of explosion.

Dear Alex,
I stol-..I mean 'borrowed' your iPod. آپ dont mind, right? Anna made me give it back. Your welcome. Oh and the twins accidentally deleted all your songs. My bad.

"Conner I'm gonna kill you!" I yelled out the window. Some Aphrodite girls looked at me like I was some freak. I glared at them. They scurried off towards the pavilion. I leaned against my bunk. Nothing seemed to be going right today. Upset, I picked up my iPod and put in my headphones. Expecting nothing to happen, I pressed shuffle. A song started to play. Not just anything song either. A Paramore song was the only one left. I laid down on the floor and stared at the ceiling, as the song started to play.

I only saw my dad cry once. During the سیکنڈ Titan War."

'I closed my eyes. Luke's death....he died a hero.

My mother was never the same after dad left us. She swore that she would never forget the دن he left. Can't say I blame her..

I used to think love didn't exist. But now....I'm not so sure.

It usually doesn't. Unless it's in fairytales..

That seemed like the answer. Running when something was bothering me. But...maybe it isnt. Maybe being alone isn't the solution.

"Maybe it was all in my head." I کہا a loud. The song sang the last few notes then ended. Smiling a tad bit, I started to walk out of my کیبن and into the pavilion.

"You are..the only exception." I whispered softly.
