Dearheart I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. I've looked at the pictures you've posted, and I don't see how mine has copied them at all. What's the problem? If you're getting upset because my picture happens to be SIMILAR to someone else's work...well then, you might as well yell at Christopher Paolini for writing Eragon, since the plot has several similarities to Star Wars. [b]Great minds think alike.[/b] I haven't tried to copy ANYBODY, but I can't help it if my ideas have similarities to others. It happens all the time; ask ANY artist, writer, musician, etc. That's the truth. Take it or leave it.

Dearheart "It's only 'your' piece if it is your own original work." When you said that, it led me to believe that you thought I had copied someone. Because this IS my own work, and it sounded like you were implying that it wasn't. Forgive my confusion! Having said that...I appreciate that you want work that is imaginative and high-quality, and I agree that we should always give our best to God. HOWEVER...has it occurred to you that maybe this IS my best? Or that perhaps my purpose wasn't to create a perfect masterpiece, but rather to celebrate my love for God and what He did for me on that cross? Despite the cliche? Sometimes, it's better to simply enjoy the PROCESS of making something and worship God with every color you mix, rather than worrying about whether it'll look "good enough" when you're done. It's not the picture that matters to Him; it's the attitude BEHIND the picture. =) Also, we are all gifted in different ways. I may be a mediocre artist, but that's not where my strength lies. My true gift is with words and music, not drawings. [u]However, that won't stop me from expressing my worship in this way.[/u] I will do [i]whatever[/i] the Holy Spirit inspires me to do...whether I'm good at it or not.

Dearheart Yes, but imagination and quality come SECOND to attitude. [b]This drawing could be the crudest, most crayon-scribbly drawing in the world, but I know God would still find value in it. But your comments hurt me because it feels like you're judging the HEART I put in this picture. So I'm "conceited" because I say that the Holy Spirit moves me? Dearheart Who are you to tell me why I like someone?? Do you really assume I'm so shallow? Seriously, what's your problem? Are you upset about something? I like Cinders because I have known her for a long time on this website (which is more than you can say, I think) and she has MORE than earned my respect. Even though we disagree on SEVERAL issues and our views are often COMPLETELY opposite, we still respect and care about each other. 'Cause that's what REAL friendship is about. And you should not judge her so harshly just because of ONE argument you had with her. [b]Where is your Christlike heart? Where is the grace in your attitude?[/b] I can't see it yet. Cinders I really wish I could have seen this. I have a feeling it was an epic win for Dearheart. Only cowards feel the need to delete their comments when they know they're wrong.
