He dives to protect himself. Haven't u noticed Ronaldo is almost never injured? Even though he is one of the most fouled players in the world. He is targeted because he is a great player. It comes with the territory. Because he goes down easier, his legs or feet don't get hurt. If he stands his ground he would get hurt every game.
