The Harry Potter vs Twilight war is a huge phenomenon in the literary world. We have مضامین floating around in the Internet (even in CAT) where both camps vehemently defend their fandoms. I am a huge Harry Potter fan, but today, I am not going to take sides. How it started, and how it evolved in a full-scale clash between شائقین of both series is something I would cover in this article.

It started off with a few websites claiming Twilight is the new Harry Potter. Harry Potter fans, of course, would not take it sitting down, and they wrote مضامین with reasons why Harry Potter is better than Twilight. Then Twilight شائقین read the مضامین the Harry Potter شائقین wrote, and they fought back, coming up with their own reasons why Twilight is better than Harry Potter. And then the HP camp got furious, moved to Youtube and گیا کیا پوسٹ ویڈیوز about the whole affair. And then Twilight شائقین گیا کیا پوسٹ جوابات to the ویڈیوز the HP شائقین put up... آپ get the picture.

I think the whole clash is silly. (no offense to anyone, especially to my fellow HP fans.)

1) The two series, while in the fantasy genre, are different in their themes.
Harry Potter is the good-vs-evil fight, and contains a lot مزید action and mystery, with many plot twists thrown along the way. Twilight is pretty straight-forward, it is a romance series with a girl who would do anything to be with her true love.

2) The way they approach magic is different. Harry uses magic most of the time, but in the war with Voldemort, he relies on his human nature (by sacrificing himself for his friends, like how his mother sacrificed herself for him) to defeat the Dark Wizard. Witches and wizards in the Harry Potter series also have struggles like us, despite their magical powers.

In the Twilight series, Bella is always shown as being a weak human. She is only strong after her transformation as a vampire. She relies on magic مزید than her humanity, and after her transformation, she doesn't seem to have any struggle.

3) Love.
Both series approach love differently. While Harry has his romantic interests, a greater importance is shown for platonic love (love with friends). The first people Harry turn to are Ron and Hermione. However, Twilight focuses مزید on romantic love, and the first people Bella turns to is Edward and Jacob (who are her love interests).

4) Girls.
The girls in the series are different. Bella (before her transformation) has to rely on stronger people (the vampires/werewolves) to help her and she rarely voices her opinions. Hermione in the Harry Potter series constantly puts herself in the line of danger, and being the smartest person in the school, she argues with the boys. Most of the time, her timely wit saves the day.

With these reasons, I think the Twilight series and the Harry Potter series shouldn't be compared.
Ever since its حالیہ creation I have not been able to stop visiting this spot (Not that it's a problem...haha). I decided to sit down and ponder and from my pondering came this list.

1. Everybody rates EVERYTHING.
I mean EVERYTHING. Nothing goes unrated and everyone always rates fairly.

2. The فورم are always buzzing.
I absolutely love visiting the forums. Someone is always there looking to chat and the تبصرے are sure to put a smile on my face.

3. I can have intelligent and enjoyable conversations
I don't feel like I talk to someone and all they have to say is, "OMG آپ love (insert...

This مضمون may be offencive to a lot of Twihards. Viewer disgrettion is advised

Edward: Bella,I'm dangerous, stay away.
Bella: But Edward, I love you!
Edward: Me too, but I'm dangerous, so آپ have to stay away from me
Bella: But Edward, you're the love of my life! We have to be together!
Edward: Fear me and my sparkiling skin! *takes off shirt*
Bella: Wait a second, آپ sparkle?
Edward: Isn't it frightening?
Bella: No. Sorry to break it to ya Edward, but it's gay
Edward: I kissed Emmet one time...
Bella: How old are you?
Edward: 100
Bella: Eeew! Aren't there laws about 100 سال olds and 17 سال olds...

Some of these are intended to be jokey, some are intended to be serious, none are intended to offend :)

1. It helps focus 'recreational hate' into one convenient area. What I consider to be recreational hate is hate that has no real purpose, like an annoying unintentional hobby. Like it's useful hate to hate injustice یا animal cruelty, it's recreational hate to hate Paris Hilton یا the fact that Sienna Miller is considered a style شبیہ despite the fact that I've never seen her in an outfit that didn't look like she was talked into wearing it سے طرف کی a stylist who secretly hates her guts. I have noticed, that on the Twilight Series spot if a certain person adds decent content when a certain person is online, it gets rated very low. As much as I am a پرستار of Twilight, it makes me wonder what it's all about anymore.

It shows how ridiculous the fanbase for it really is when people get bullied and bashed for having an opinion, یا adding good content at the wrong time because they don't like the person who has added it.

I'm sure i'm not the first person to mention this, but it has recently caught my attention alot. Spam uploaders who add thousandsof pictures ask everyone to rate there...

It's called "Daughter of Darkness" سے طرف کی V.C. Andrews.

This book was just aweful. It's about a 17 سال old vampire girl named Lorelie Patio (Mary Sue alert!) whos only purpose in life is to be her Daddy's sex slave. This book is filled with shallow evaluations of beauty, anti feminism, poor morals, and disgusting turn of events.

Lorelie has three sisters who are manipulated and emotionally abused سے طرف کی their father. The worst thing about it is that it's never seen as a bad thing. It's disguised as fatherly love. None of the characters recognize the manipulation یا abuse. آپ have to read between the...

This is under 'opinion' so please don't send any hate, it's just a though I had.

I have read various explainations both on this site and others about things antis point out as plot holes. (Ex: Renessme, Imprinting, Vampire Transformation, ect.) And I think that it's great that some people do think it through and don't just take it because it is what was written. What I don't understand is why آپ should have too.

In my mind, when an مصنف creates a story with a new یا different breed of creature they should explain it atleast to some degree.

I'm not saying she needs to explain every little thing,...

1. Twilight is the product of an immature writer. It reads like something out of my notebook from freshman year.
2. The only difference between Twilight and fanfiction.net is marginally better grammar.
3. And even that isn’t so great sometimes. English major fail.
4. I’ve read fanfiction that is lightyears better than Twitripe.
5. The prose is purple amethyst! Deep, luscious, dazzling amethyst that scintillates and glitters incandescently in the sun!
6. Not to mention, it’s also insanely repetitive.
7. THESAURUS ABUSE! Fancy words are not necessarily better words.
8. The storyline is trite and...

Dear Ms. Meyer,

Hi. I’m Tria. It’s nice to meet you. As آپ have probably guessed, I am writing to آپ concerning your series known as “The Twilight Saga.” If you’ll forgive me for being rude, I’d like to be blunt.

You fail.

Again, apologies for my rudeness. If you’ll allow me, I’m going to back up this assumption of your literary failure.

Let’s start with the plots, looking at each book individually, and then the کتابیں as a whole.
Twilight: Barely has a plot. The book is 300 یا so pages of nothing happening besides mooning on about Edward and his eyes. Then آپ throw in three...

After reading the post "Bella as a heroine should be illegal" سے طرف کی bendaimmortal, it got me thinking. Obviously, no-one would consider Bella سوان, ہنس a heroine. If آپ do, آپ have got a really great deal of imagination, یا a warped sense of the world. Because, and I'm sure most Twilight شائقین would agree, the girl didn't do anything at all. Save being overly dramatic and being the damsel in distress.

What about the Cullens then? What about Carlisle, Alice, Esme, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett? What about He-Who-Sparkles-In-Broad-Daylight? Would they be considered heroes/heroines?

No.

I say that the Cullens...

Note: It’s important for me to communicate that I don’t know the مصنف of Twilight یا her family personally and I do not intend them any insult; this مضمون is purely academic speculation inspired سے طرف کی a story which will remain a timeless work of art. It is the emotional accessibility of the work which makes commentary such as this possible. I may be projecting the whole thing… But that’s exactly why Twilight is so successful, because it invites us so welcomingly into the story!

Every پرستار knows the story of the Twilight Saga.
There are many theories as to what makes the story such a pop-culture...

Soo, I read Twilight in 2005 and seriously thought it was the best thing I'd ever read, and never thought I'd read anything better. How young and stupidly naive I was!

When I first bought it, it was treasured, as were New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn & all the money wasting merchandise I purchased to. But over the past 2 years, I've seen the پرستار base grow and grow and GROW into something that is just pretty hectic and down right ridiculous.

I personally feel sorry for the cast, especially Robert Pattinson. Poor guy, can't even walk out his front door without being mobbed. There's such thing...

Disclaimer: The عنوان of the مضمون may seem to be a bit strange, as most of my مضامین that I have گیا کیا پوسٹ on here are usually issues I have with the Twilight Saga, but I decided that myself as an anti, wanted to write about things I actually do like about the series. Guarantee, I actually do think Stephanie Meyer did create some characters in this series, and I just wanted to فہرست my سب, سب سے اوپر 8. This will be in no particular order.
