I like Book Elena a lot more than show Elena. But still, almost everyime she's with Damon, she pisses me off (much like in the show, ha). So, I can't say that I love her.

After SS I have never hated anyone in my life as much as I hate Elena Gilbert.The way she was kissing Damon while she knew Stefan could be dying disgusted me.Honestly if she died I would sing at her funeral and dance on her grave.That is how much I hate her. xxxxxxxxx

I like her in books until Shadow Souls(In SS, I hated her) & with Damon, she pissed me off, But I don't consider Shadow Souls the series continuation of LJ. It's LJ's effort to please certain fanbase, so yeah..I like her considering the first 5 books, (not considering SS, if I consider SS, then it would be hatred)

In first 4 or 5 books, I actually like her and like Lorastefens said, SS is totally a strange book where everybody is OOC and I hated her in Shadow Souls but if I don't consider that book, then yeah I like her although I don't like her how she behaves with Damon like the show Elena, with Damon both Elena behaves same way either the show one or book one and I don't like that.So..not sure.

There are times like in Shadow Souls and some of the other new books that I think I really hate her. But when I re-read the books from the original trilogy, it brings back memories of old SE, that was once my favorite VD ship until Bamon came along in Dark Reunion. :)

There are times when i really hate her but times when i like her. I like her better than show Elena.But show Elena really annoys me.

TV elena has purposely made sweeter and nicer so the viwers dont hate her and thats annoys me
