Damon & Elena Article: People hating on Ian...

I cannot believe people are hating on Ian because he supports Delena. Ian plays Damon, so he wants what his character wants...just like Paul likes SE, Ian likes DE. People are complaining because he doesn't talk about Bamon. BAMON DOES NOT EXIST. The دکھائیں is not the کتابیں and even if Bamon happens in the دکھائیں it won't be for a loooong time, although I'm crossing my fingers for "never". Damon loves Elena. End of story.
I love how if he talks about DE he's "selling" them. How about the fact that just like آپ and I have our preferences over couples, so does he. He's allowed to have his opinion. Considering the fact that his own character loves Elena and the مثلث being the only consistent storyline throughout the series(JP&KW have کہا that it's a series long triangle), I don't see why he would talk about Bamon. No matter what people say, Damon has NO feelings for Bonnie and Bonnie has NO feelings for Damon. If anything, there's negative feelings. Damon loves Elena and Bonnie is busy trying to figure out her feelings for Luka and Jeremy. So someone please explain to me why Ian has to mention Bamon in interviews یا why he should he have to pretend to like them. I hate shipping wars just like everyone else, but I say hating on the actors is far worse.
آپ see every ship has its share of idiots but it's always DE شائقین who get called immature and crazy. How is calling Ian a "douche" any better?

Edit: I want to make something very clear. I never referenced any مضامین یا کہا all Bamon شائقین think and act like this. I کہا people, and it's true, people do. It is not based on 1 مضمون یا 1 person's opinion, I've seen it happen مزید than once. I see people apologizing to each other and I hope that's just between them and they're not apologizing on my behalf. DelenaLover I completely agree. I've see a lot of Bamon shippers bashing Ian for not mentioning Bonnie or Bamon in interviews which is so ridiculous because its kind of obvious why he doesn't. There is NOTHING to say. Bamon does NOT exists so what's there to even say about them? Nothing is going on between Bonnie and Damon so what the hell do they expect Ian to say on a subject that isn't even there? Its just immature to hate on an actor because he doesn't like your ship. Ian is free to like whatever ship he wants and doesn't deserve to get hate for sharing his likes and his opinions.

iandamonfan Agree 100% He can't talk about Damon and Bonnie because there is NO Damon and Bonnie... It's like being mad at Nina because she doesn't talk about Tyler... Seriously, the books are the books and the TV series is another thing...

Mannefik There are still some people who need to learn to seperate the books and the show. This is not Twilight. All the things that happen in each page in the books, they won't happen in the show. And to throw hate on Ian because he don't like the ship that you like, it's not right. If I was the actor who portrayed Damon Salvatore, I suppose I'd also ship Damon & Elena. Because it's what's right.

Elena makes that exception because she's his humanity, she's the only one to ever get under his skin and make him FEEL. If he started going to lunch with Caroline at the grill, how ridiculous would that be? Honestly. Whether the actor/actress likes it or not, they have to promote what is happening to their character. What is close, and what it a big part of them. Elena is close to Damon, she is a huge part of his life. OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO PROMOTE DELENA! Bonnie's set him on fire and given him a headache... the only things that have happened between them and how many times could Ian dissect that to promote Bamon? And why is it significant for him to promote Bamon? They barely have dialogue... how the HELL can Ian promote Bamon? Impossible. Ridiculous. Random. Pointless.

Anna_JH ^ I wasn't aware this was your article Jereimy. I was expressing my overall thoughts on the idea of people hating Ian. I'm just saying he promotes what's close to his character, because promoting anything else would be damaging for him, the show and more importantly his fans. He's going to keep what's close to him happy and put his energy into that. Just like Nina does, as she ships "defan," she promotes both, SE more than DE, because her character is with Stefan and closer to him. Put it this way... if you were in Ian's shoes... what would you do? Support the majority fan base, or the less significant? In his career... he bloody well has to unless he wants to tarnish Damon's character..

Whether it's because he prefers to shy away from the media more than others I'm not sure. In fact I don't think I've even read an interview with him lol. Come out of your cage, Paul! Before I joined fanpop, when I first became hooked on the Damon/Elena pairing, I would scour YouTube for new clips and ویڈیوز of them. (The UK was so far behind!)
