The scene where Elena watches an unknowing Damon just be was such an inspired choice, so illustrative of both his character and her changing feelings towards him without either of them saying a word.

Elena and a smooth- and bare-chested Damon make eyes across the room as Jeremy sleeps.He touches her hand and she runs out of the room, overcome with emotion. When he follows her, she kisses him passionately

Or…actually, he will be the one that stays gone. I predicted before that Damon would make the choice for Elena. I stand سے طرف کی that. He will tell Stefan to go back without him and be happy with Elena. He will do this because he loves them both
