Dear Diary,

Last night I had the funniest dream. Me and Shang were at the ساحل سمندر, بیچ and Shang was surfing. Seriously, Shang, near a surfboard? Nani, yes, Ariel maybe, but not Shang. He says he hates it and he’s مزید content to swim “like a normal person” as he puts it in that arrogant tone he sometimes adopts. Honestly, just because his dad’s an army captain, he thinks he can do what he damn well likes! He is so frustrating!

And yet, let’s face it, I still have a massive crush on him! Oh, I know that makes me sound like a swooning schoolgirl but I can’t help it! Earlier when I went up to him after gym class he had his شرٹ, قمیض off. I nearly died! He’s so fit! I had to hide my blushes behind my book because I didn’t know where to look!

But back to last night. The surfing part wasn’t even the weirdest part. That came afterwards when Nani came swimming up to us and turned into a cockatoo! Then she started singing “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” and then Ariel and Mulan rose out of the water like nymphs and started doing the backing vocals. And then I woke up and I imagined myself on a beach, that Shang had just rescued me from drowning and that our lips were so close together...I squealed and threw my تکیا off the bed. Ok, ok, maybe I’m on the verge of being obsessed with him! Maybe I need help!

Kida could help me there. I know she’s great at therapy and she’s got all those herbal remedies that really work. I remember that one that worked for Mulan’s headache. Maybe she’s got one that could work for obsessiveness – is that even a word? (Note to self: Look up in dictionary later!)

But I really must stop going off on a tangent about Shang – even though he is really, really hot! But no, anyway, back to what happened today. Well, after I woke up, it was breakfast as usual. Papa was trying to make omelettes – again! How many times have I told him that he just can’t do it? I mean, I love my Papa to bits but there are just some things that he cannot achieve! Whenever he makes omelettes, they’re مزید like scrambled eggs with bits added! Still, no shortage of eggs, thankfully, so we threw out the mess and made poached eggs on ٹوسٹ instead. Then, the schoolbus was early and I almost missed it, just my luck! I would have missed it if Mulan hadn’t told the driver to wait for me! She’s good like that, Mulan. I really think she should go out with Milo; I mean, I know he’s a bit of a history geek and all but he’s really nice and he really fancies her. She should be with him. I mean, after her last boyfriend. What a p.i.g!

Oh, speaking of which, guess who started flirting with me in class today? That’s right, Gaston! I swear that guy thinks that I’m attracted to him, even though I keep pushing him away each time. Why does he seem to think that “no” means “yes?” Does it in guy-world? I don’t know. Anyway, thankfully, my chemistry experiment exploded right on cue and singed his eyebrows! He spent the rest of the دن in the boys’ toilets fussing over how his looks were ruined forever. Yeah, right!

After that, of course, we had gym class and after that, well, that was when I went up to ask Shang if he’d be coming on down to the ساحل سمندر, بیچ with us later and got all embarrassed because he had his شرٹ, قمیض off! Anyway, he کہا yes. David, Nani, Milo, Kida and Audrey came too; we had a blast! Milo’s swimming trunks filled up with air, like bubbles, it was hilarious! David and Nani went surfing while we all had a swim and then this massive wave knocked Nani off her surfboard and knocked the rest of us onto the sand. Ariel had seaweed in her hair; so hard not to laugh!

Oh, yeah, speaking of Ariel, when we were packing up to leave, she کہا she got that job down at Smith’s Shipping Supplies. آپ remember, she applied there last week; her dad wants her to do something “but daydream about boys all summer long.” (His words, not mine!) She’s going to start there اگلے week, apparently. I can’t wait for اگلے week when school’s finally over and we can all relax and hang out at the beach, at the park, at the pool, in town, and just about everywhere we can’t go when we’re in school. I’ve got six new کتابیں still to read; I can’t wait!

Well, I guess that’s the end for now; hopefully something مزید exciting for me to write about will happen tomorrow!
