DISCLAIMER: This مضمون solely consists of my opinions. I don’t think that it’s the only one which matters. I also don’t think that everyone has to agree. Just take it as a different perspective and feel free to share your perspective here. I don’t think that we’ll come to a consent about the matter I intend to address, but this might help all of us to understand where the other is coming from.

In the last week, there has been مزید than one discussion about the use of the pick page here. I try to summarize some of them up: There are too many countdowns, this یا that pick is stupid, there are too many picks of a certain kind at once. Weather those complains are valid یا not, all those complains can be summoned up this way: HELP! The pick section is so cluttered up that I can’t find what I’m interested in anymore.

Is that a valid complain? Hell yes! Since I’m living in a different time zone from most of the users here, I’m normally asleep when the main activity is going on. Last week I checked the pick section at the morning and had to go seven pages back to find the last pick which got added before I logged out the night before. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be for someone, who posts a pick with a lot of options and pictures, just to realize that it got buried مزید یا less immediately. And it surely is frustrating for someone who participates in a countdown too, when he misses a round because of this. So perhaps it is time to look for solutions. Here some thoughts about the kind of picks which normally can be found here. Again, keep in mind, it’s my opinion, I’m well aware that everybody has a different preference and some might dislike exactly what I like.

Countdowns

It’s no secret that I like those and I love to participate in them. That doesn’t necessarily mean that every countdown is automatically a good idea and should be done no matter. I remember some weeks پہلے a “best shoe” countdown was considered, and I was initially intrigued سے طرف کی the idea. But the user who considered the idea decided against it, which disappointed me at first, until I saw the screencaps of the shoes and realized that this was the right decisions, since most of the shoes looked similar (if they were visible at all). A Countdown only works if it’s about something which really can be judged somehow. I also think that a countdown without an مضمون as result of it is very senseless.

Do آپ agree with…

I don’t get those. I really don’t see what’s so interesting about knowing that 50% of the users agree with a special ranking. Perhaps someone can explain to me what those picks are supposed to reflect?

Confessions

یا other picks which are about thoughts and opinions, like “what happened if”. I really don’t mind those, I see the appeal. I myself would participate in them مزید often, but I often feel overwhelmed سے طرف کی the sheer number of them. Doing some of them, I very fast got the impression that the same ideas and سوالات are popping up again and again. And I’m wondering: Isn’t that what the فورم is for? To discuss ideas and concepts? But the فورم is only used for contests and games, I اگلے to never see any serious discussion there. How about opening a treat with the “discussion of the week” یا something like that? It might result in a مزید engaging conversation than what we get in a pick, in which everyone basically posts his own opinion and then moves on.

Will آپ read my article/join my spot/participate in my competition

There is no polite way to say it: Those are spam. In 9 of 10 cases it’s about posting a link and advertising. I get the urge, I really do. I suspect that less people will read this مضمون because I refuse to misuse the pick-section in that way. And yes, everyone else is doing it. But that doesn’t make it right. Fanpop has rules, and those picks are against those rules. And if all the users would stop doing this, people might perhaps start to seek out the مضمون section themselves - it’s not that difficult to find.

How compares character XY to the DP

I think those are the kind of سوالات I hate the most, because they skirting around the rules. They are not obviously off-topic, but مزید often than not they truly are. They are مزید designed to spotlight some non-DP characters یا a پسندیدہ actress/singer than about exploring the princesses.

Well, that’s my opinion, but at the end of the day, everyone can post whatever pick he wants as long as it is an opinion-based سوال (and no “can آپ help me” doesn’t qualify). But the سوال is: Should we? Shouldn’t we consider the other members? Those nearly 70 picks I talked about at the beginning of the article? Most of them were گیا کیا پوسٹ سے طرف کی only four users (and for the record, there were only two countdown-picks between them). And shouldn’t we consider ourselves? When I post a pick, I want the best participation possible – so posting a bunch of picks at once, wouldn’t that automatically result in some of them getting less attention, because someone might answer one یا two, let’s say art-picks, but might get tired of them soon after. How can the regular members who visit the spot all the time expect newbies not to post a pick just to post a pick and get some attention, when the pick-section is so obviously misused either way? The pick-section looks the way it does, because we don’t really take care of it. We made it the meeting point of the spot, but that’s not what it should be. There is a forum, a wall, an answer section, a art section, an article-section – مزید than enough room for all of us. So why don’t we use all those features for what they are made for? Why don’t we discuss in the forum, ask our سوالات in the answer section and use the دیوار for announcements? It would make the pick-section a little bit مزید manageable.

On the eighth دن of Princess Walt Disney gave to me

Eight mice a-sewing

seven dwarves dancing
six sisters singing
five cursed friend

four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.

I guess I have to apologize...I did my best to create pages featuring the princesses as the sole centre of attraction, but with جیسمین, یاسمین that is a little bit difficult because she is usually featured with Aladdin, rarely alone. I could have either found یا created a picture of جیسمین, یاسمین if I really wanted to, but I really liked this one and it just seemed to fit her the best. So I made...

On the Third دن of Princess Walt Disney gave to me,

Three fairy spells,
Two lucky pals,

Another day, another page for the calendar. And unlike the last one, this one was kind of a headache for me. Remember a while back when I asked آپ which princess fits which months? Most of آپ felt that Merida belongs into autumn because of her red hair. Thing is: I already had three princesses for autumn. In addition, I don't think that Brave is actually set in fall, I think it is either spring یا summer during the movie. So I hope that آپ are not too disappointed that I ended...

On the سیکنڈ دن of Princess Walt Disney gave to me,

So as promised the سیکنڈ دن of goodies with a new page for the calendar. I will, btw, لوڈ اپ all the calendar pages separately in the image section of the spot once my 12 days of princesses are done, and all of them have been revealed. I am pondering if I should also create a version which has all pages on one big sheet. If there is any interest in this, please comment. Also, if someone wants a different seize for the پیپر وال then the three I am already offering, I am open for request. Speaking...

It's typical of sequels to come out about 2 یا 3 years after the first film. Sometimes, sequels come out the سال after the first one. However, Frozen 2 has come out 6 years after the first film. That's something it has in common with Alice Through the Looking Glass, which came out 6 years after the first film. Of course, the big the سوال is if the wait was worth it. In this review, I will discuss how the two films compare to each other, as well as give my feelings on the premise and cast of characters.

Frozen 2 brings back the cast of the first film (excluding Prince Hans and the Duke...

Wow, ok. It's been five years (oh lordy) since I last wrote one of these, and with a new princess officially in the lineup I think it's high time I revisited my list. Let's do this.

12. Rapunzel

Uuuuuuuuuuuuugh Rapunzellllllllllllllllllll I really wish I liked her مزید than I do. The funny thing is that I actually think she's a great character and she's also one of my most relatable DPs, but despite this she just doesn't do it for me. There are two primary reasons for this. Firstly, she is not a particularly believable character for me. Seriously, no one would be that socially well-rounded after...

Out of the entire princess lineup, only three of them were the biggest part of my childhood. Cinderella was sorta part of my childhood but mainly the Brandi Norwood version because I preferred that one over the animated version. And I’m not counting Rapunzel because her movie came out when I was almost an adult.

3. Mulan

A lot of آپ might know that Mulan is my پسندیدہ princess and she’s been number 1 on my فہرست for years. I was 5 years old when I watched her movie on tape and I remember being so in love with her and the movie immediately. Mulan was one of the biggest feminist شبیہیں in my...

This is a movie I'm really not looking آگے to watching. I don't mind watching sequels because I used to love them so much when I was a kid but Mulan is one of my all-time پسندیدہ فلمیں ever and this sequel is like on a Maleficent level of ruining original characters.

Tonight's rewatch: Mulan 2
Last time watched: 2005-2006

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I saw the commercial for this movie when I was 11 and I was excited because, again, Mulan is one of my all-time پسندیدہ movies. I didn't actually watch the movie until I was 13 یا 14 because I was starting middle school when this...

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I loved this movie when I was a kid! Mulan, both the movie and the character, was actually one of the reasons I became a feminist and why I love badass women (kinda why I don't 100% blame the revival era for people hating princesses who find love یا aren't "kickass"). I used to sing the songs all the time when I was a kid and I loved any merch I could get (which wasn't a lot). I still have my stuffed Cri-Kee that...

Hello everyone! This is the first of many مضامین soon to come and I hope آپ enjoy reading this just as much as I did writing it :)

For each مضمون I will write about;

1. How much I enjoyed/disliked the movie as a child

2. How much I have forgotten

3. Princess (will she be higher on my فہرست یا lower?)

4. Movie (will the movie be higher on my فہرست یا lower?)

5. Rating

6. How much has my opinion changed?

7. Would I watch it again?

Tonight's rewatch: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Last time watched: 2001 (seriously, how can I consider myself a Disney Princess پرستار if I waited THIS LONG to watch this...

This review was originally گیا کیا پوسٹ months پہلے but I deleted it because......I was gonna use it for a school assignment and I didn't wanna leave this up so my lecturer could تلاش and accuse me of plagiarism. lmao

Anyway, I ended up not using it and I decided to put it back up.

So right off the bat, I have to say that this movie is very.....average. It honestly feels like a tv episode padded out with songs to make it feature length. Moana is a likable enough character, I can almost pinpoint exact moments where she's like گزشتہ Disney female protagonists like Ariel, Pocahontas, Mulan and Rapunzel...

 Clay! Your eyes!
Clay! Your eyes!
Hi guys, I absolutely love Clay Aiken's voice and here are my choices for the princesses themselves.

The Way

Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and Pocahontas will fit the song, especially when the respective love ones see them for the first time.

Without You

Taken from his 'A Thousand Different Ways' album, originally sung سے طرف کی Mariah Carey. Eric would sing this when he rescues Ariel and vice versa.

This is the Night

From the Beast's perspective, he reassures himself that this is the night to admit his love for Belle. Including Rapunzel/ Flynn, Aladdin/ جیسمین, یاسمین and Anna/ Kristoff.

Here آپ Come Again

Mulan and Shang will sing in the finale of the film, they could not hide feelings to each other.

Clay Aiken Fan, Anyone?

Do آپ like Clay Aiken and do آپ all agree with the choices?

Hi guys, I just happened to watch Dragonheart and I thought why not all of the princesses should have a personalised magical Dragon Stones so that they could turn into dragons, so here are my thoughts!

Let Them Have It!

Of course, if Disney were to make a movie about them together. The fairy godmother will give them a dragon stone that will turn them into dragons with each special powers! It will make the story interesting.

Don't Take It!

The story will be to dark for a Disney film, unless if Disney could tone down the appearance of the dragons themselves.

Dragon یا Not?

Here are my thoughts of this theory, so what do آپ think?
