Before anyone says that she wouldn't be a DP because she isn't a princess or marries a prince, remember that Mulan is a DP but she isn't a princess and she doesn't marry one at the end

I would love to see her as a DP, but she's played by Mandy Moore, and I don't think they're gonna have 2 princesses with the same voice actress. :/

I don't think Disney would have the guts to make this into a story. It's a nice enough story but it's too mature for kids in my opinion. I know, I know. Kids probably could handle a story about cancer, but I think the fact that she dies would be confusing for kids.

Disney would rewrite it too make it child friendly, too the point it would be unrecognisable. Not like it isn't a good idea to introduce kids to the slightly more mature stories, but the soccer moms would go nuts.
