I'm tired of all but Belle and Tiana's, because I see a little truth to both.

Pretty much all except for Belle and to some extend Pocahontas and Aurora. However while Snow White did wait around for her prince that's not all she did. She didn't just mope around, she was still positive and an entertaining character. Tiana just did what some women are afraid of giving up everything for love. What good is having everything if you don't have love? Even if she is with that loser, Naveen. Ariel was not a b****, spoiled, and yes she was selfish but no more than any normal person, everyone is a little selfish. Jasmine doesn't think she's too good for men she just doesn't want to spend the rest of her life with a spoiled, selfish, rude, arrogant jerk. Mulan is very interesting and she's just trying to do what's expected of her and eventually rebels. Cinderella is no typical blonde. Rapunzel isn't overrated at at, Belle that's a different story.

I actually do agree with Ariel's to some extent but firmly disagree with all the others.

This just annoys the hell out of me. I mean Cinderella had step mother and step sisters but she never gave up on her dreams and she never lost hope!

Cinderella is a typical blonde girl: I'm not sure what to say to this because I'm not sure what it meant by "typical blonde."

Aurora is such a crybaby: ?? No comment.....

Ariel is such a selfish and spoiled b*tch: Actually....I can kinda see this....

Jasmine is arrogant, she thinks she is too good for any guy: Excuse me while I go laugh at how wrong this is.

Belle is too perfect and is generic looking: Well.............

Mulan is trying too hard to be perfect and is not an interesting character: *headdesk* The whole point of Mulan's story is she's trying to find herself, not be perfect.

Pocahontas is a wh*re for picking John Rolfe over John Smith: While I do like (love) Pocahontas with Smith better then Rolfe, I don't see how picking Rolfe over Smith makes her a whore....

Tiana was crazy for giving up everything for Naveen at the end: I can't say much since I haven't seen her movie.

Rapunzel is the most overrated princess ever: REALLY?? Since when?? Where was I when this happened??

I just wanted to comment on each of these because I have nothing better to do.....

Generally those assumptions are all pretty ridiculous, generalized, limited solely to surface observation and don't contribute anything to actual analysis or valid and constructive criticism. I nearly clicked on Ariel because that has to be the most annoying and tired "argument" against her (and I assure you even as a handcore Ariel fan I could come up with a big list of her flaws and legitimately problematic aspects of her personality, but "bitch" doesn't hold a candle to valid critique, at all), however, then I saw the Pocahontas one... and realized it actually has to be the worst because it's a blatant and explicit slut shaming which is completely disturbing. Having two love interests while you're a young woman, especially when you consider your ex lover dead while developing feelings for another man (and frankly even if she hadn't thought Smith was dead she would have been completely entitled to falling out of love with him because you know what? It happens. Get over it) does NOT make you a definition of that term used to illustrate this accusation so commonly directed at her character.

Rapunzel isn't overrated, she gets the exact same amount of love classic and 90-s princesses got back in a day (and deservedly so), only in addition to that she also gets bashing and hate for being "new" and CGI.

Snow would be an idiot for chasing her guy- one, because that is desperate and insecure (and you "feminists" should agree it's not feminist), and two, THE QUEEN WAS AFTER HER! some of you call her an idiot for taking the apple like she was supposed to MAGICALLY know it was the queen, but you also think she was an idiot for having the good sense to not go wandering around looking for her guy while the queen was looking for her?

I definitely agree with Jasmine's. she WAS arrogant. I dont blame her for not liking those suitors if they were that bad but she was such a brat about it. with that kind of influence over her dad the king, why not use common sense and explain to him they were all bad, she should be able to choose her own, etc.? why foolishly just waste everyone's time and possibly create political problems by driving each suitor away like a harpy?

Belle's is 100% correct, always said that myself. some of these are bizarre though- I have never heard Cindy's, Poca's or Aurora's. Ariel's is true to an extent.

i agree with maryksand. i almost clicked ariel because it's the most repetitive, tired argument but this one really grinds my gears--- because jasmine actually doesn't want to settle for any asshole guy, she's a stuck up bitch. wow. i will defend my girl jas forever

Good Lord, I am EXTREMELY SICK of hearing this nonstop from everyone who despises Ariel. As an Ariel fan, generally this is all I hear. And some users on this club lay into Ariel like they would the object of a clique's derision. Some people act like no other princesses are selfish, AND THEY ARE ( Belle is selfish among them), and other princesses make HUGE mistakes, TOO.

Pocahontas is NOT the "w" word. Aurora is not a crybaby. I sure watched Snow White clean an entire house and bake a pie. Snow White did not wait around for her prince. Snow was keeping really busy in the movie.

How is Cinderella typical? Please. Mulan is "trying to hard." Oh, wow. I'm enjoying a good laugh over that one. How is "trying too hard" a huge problem? And by the way, I try too hard all of the freaking time... So, there.

Rapunzel is not overrated anymore. The title of "overrated" firmly belongs to Tiana, now (and to the unofficial Elsa).

I also slightly disagree with the Belle one, because I see Belle as very flawed, and Belle is the opposite of perfect and kind. Belle does look generic/plain, though, and she isn't nearly as beautiful as every fan around here says. The townspeople in the movie seem excessively preoccupied with Belle's looks, however, and it's always been weird to me for hearing them saying "a beauty, but a funny girl" when Belle is just a cute girl passing them by. Whatever.

I agree that Jas does come across as arrogant, but Belle is even more arrogant than Jas is. Jas is using her arrogance to stop her being married off to any random prince, while Belle's arrogance is rooted in her own self-pride and her disdain towards her neighbors for not reading and sharing her interests.

I clearly don't agree with most of these. Yeah. Figured, I wouldn't, especially since people nail Ariel to the cross all of the time.
