Um, I'm sure the icon can be changed back. Please don't get angry, but....I don't really think that changing the icon is "forgetting" about Walt Disney history. I mean, the old icon definitely works because she was his favorite, but I don't think changing the icon would make us forget about Walt Disney or his history. And...I know this is just about the icon, but, moving on to newer things was exactly what Walt wanted. "Keep moving forward." I know this just has to do with the icon, and I agree the Cinderella icon is great for the spot, so sorry. I hope I haven't offended anyone.

It's not really a point of whether the icon can change back or not, but a few comments I've seen have said it doesn't bother them because she's new and we should focus more on the new Disney princesses. That's where this poll spawned from.

The icon represents the club. If the icon is one of the new, hip, modern CGI princesses instead of one (or a few, or several) of the iconic classics that "started it all," it gives the impression that the club is only interested in the new, hip, modern CGI movement.

If I had my druthers, I'd rather have an icon that has a few to several princesses from different eras. If it has to be one princess though, I'd rather it be a classic, iconic princess that helped define the ongoing archetype that this club celebrates.

Well, I'm from ancient fanpop, and the icon changing doesn't extremely upset me. I mean, I would love to see the Cindy icon come back. She was Walt's favorite, after all. But the new icon is still beautiful. Both are beautiful, and I don't have much of a problem with either one of them.

I agree with Tygers_Eye's last comment. If it's changed, let it at least be one from each era.

Tygers_Eye, I have to respectfully disagree. This is the 'Disney Princess' club after all, not the "Modern CGI Princesses' club. This club is meant to bring love to all the princesses, and I think there are plenty of people who love the Classics. If people get that impression simply by the icon, then they're not looking hard enough.

How about we change it to a picture from Disney's best movie, Anna and Elsa?

Um, what? That's your opinion that it's Disney's best. Not all of us think it's the best.

Throwing the subject of the icon aside, Disney is named after Walt, who created the greatest animation studio in the world. Just completing forgetting Walt and erasing him from the picture is like getting rid of Disney itself.

Who would even think about forgetting Walt? I absolutely love Walt, he's one of the people I look up to the most. One person said we should focus on the new princesses. I don't agree with that. All the princesses deserve equal attention.

except the older princesses are much more iconic than the new ones (obviously, because they're way too new to be timeless). it's associating with all of Disney, whereas the new ones are just associated with new Disney and the big changes they've made, while the old ones are what paved the way for future films.

Not necessarily. I'm a history fanatic so there's no way I'm getting rid of the past or "old" stuff, something getting rid of old stuff is good, but there needs to be a balance. ~Life moves on~ but you can learn a lot from the past and should treasure the timelessness. If it's about the icon, I think it's just a picture. If it's not I think there needs to be a balance.

Listen, I get what you're saying about the older films being iconic, and I agree! But I think the statement that we're going to forget Walt is rather silly and an overreaction. I don't want to offend anyone, this is just what I think.
