Here are a few of my thoughts on some of these opinions though:
Belle: She's a beast's captor, if anything it's amazing that she can be in charge of anything. Plus she was really only pushy once during the entirety of the original film, unless you count her pleading for her father's life.
Pocahontas: She was drawn gorgeously, what's wrong with you? The drawing style is supposed to be a bit edgy, as you can see in the features of every other character on this show.
Snow White: Too nice? Do you not realize what day and age this cartoon was made? That was the ideal personality back then.
Rapunzel: Submission? Doing what she wants to do and him going along with it is not her being submissive. If anything she was too submissive to her "mother" and no one else.
Cinderella: She made a choice to improve her life given the first chance she could. She lived a life of abuse and neglect up until that point and once she saw what happiness looked like, she stood up to her abusers and improved her way of living despite being in a depressing time period for women. Cinderella learned to love herself and always kept a bright outlook on life no matter what her circumstances.
Mulan: She was thinking only of her family, in particular her father and his well being. She saw that he was not in good health and since he did not have a son, she decided to take his place believing that he would die by going to war. She knew that the consequence would be to bring her family dishonor, should she die in the war (which is what she was prepared to do if necessary) and they find out who she was, but shaming her family name was not as important as her father's death. It was a mature choice to make and also revolutionary since it proved to her nation that women were strong.
Ariel: She's lived under the sea most of her life, for goodness sake! The life of a sheltered princess. Can you really blame her for being ignorant to the way things are? At least she wanted to learn.
Tiana: She has a lot of stress to deal with. So what if she wants to daydream about owning her own business? It's not like she's ever had the ability to splurge in her life. If anything she's one of the most relatable princesses yet, despite being so underrated.
