I never understand why people keep saying that escape and running away from your home without permission is the right thing.
For Jasmine's case she didn't have strongly acceptable reason to leave. She didn't want to be forced to do something she didn't want to, but her father did that for her goodness. Plus she was clueless about the world outside her castle, so it can be considered as a reckless action.

I don't see why some people think "staying home solves everything." Continuing to fight with your parents over "marriage" or your own ability "to think for yourself" is not a solution.

I also think Jasmine did one better than Belle did. She got up off of her butt and went out and did something new-- she tried pursuing the adventure she claimed she wanted to have.

No, because it was very dangerous. I don't think it was morally wrong though - she should be allowed to come and go as she pleases.

If she left a warning she'd be caught, but maybe leaving a small note explaining why she wanted to leave would be nice, but it's not like she needed to since she constantly voiced how unhappy she was.

Wrong to want to escape a potentially miserable marriage, no. Wrong to have absolutely no plan if what to do to care for herself once she made it, yes. She's very fortunate Aladdin came along when he did and that he's not the type to try anything funny while she's alone in his house with him.

She gained some experience and met Aladdin. She would have been forced to stay in the palace if she had told someone she was leaving.
