As many of you are probably already aware, I can't stand Zendaya! She's an ATROCIOUS actress, a mediocre singer that sounds like an average middle or high schooler trying to sound like Alicia Keys and FAILS at it (Except for in The Greatest Showman, thanks to some noticeable autotune), look like someone who is either still in middle school or was just freshly out of middle school, I don't even find her to be very pretty (She's cutesy pretty at best), steals roles meant for full-blooded black women even though she looks more white than black (Hell, she looks more white than biracial), and is a horrible spoiled brat that has her fans fooled into thinking she's sweet.

You can only imagine how I feel about one of my least favorite actresses possibly playing one of my favorite fictional characters in a live-action remake of one of my all-time favorite movies. If this happens, I will NOT be seeing the movie! I've always tried to be open-minded about the remakes, unlike a lot of people, but this is one thing that would keep me from seeing this movie. To me, casting Zendaya as Ariel it the equivalent to casting Kim Kardashian as Jasmine or Paris Hilton as Cinderella. Yes, her acting is that terrible.

Her mediocre singing would make it even worse because Ariel is supposed to have an amazing voice and it's essential to the plot because of how Eric thought she had the most beautiful voice and wanted to find and marry her. Zendaya's voice just doesn't cut it, even when she sounded good (But noticeably highly over-produced autotuned vocals). She has a limited range, struggles and is weak on the high notes, sings every other line too wild, has poorly supported breath, and is FAR from someone who could capture Ariel in the singing department (Let alone in acting).

Also, while this is shallow (and I don't consider it a legit reason), I don't want to see her in Ariel's mermaid costume because she has an awful body. She's lanky, has no curves, a flat ass, no boobs, noodle arms, and chicken legs. So her face not only looks like someone too young to play Ariel but her body as well, despite being 21. So just, NO! If they hire her, she'll DESTROY Ariel and that is an unforgivable sin! This video was how I reacted when I heard about this.

I really like Zendaya and I'd really like to see her as Ariel :)

I hope its that situation where JLaw was being eurd for Mulan and we ended up with someone else instead.

Jennifer Lawrence was being considered for Mulan? What the hell? JLaw is a great actress but she's NOT Asian and therefore should NEVER have been considered for Mulan. I hope that's the case with this too. Zendaya is just such a horrible choice that it's not even funny.

Never saw any of her acting performance so I don't know what to say...
