Well she got her perfect prince

I actually think thats why people like her so much.

She even recognized the weaknesses and faults in herself, which, in my opinion, is a strength of character.

Mulan & Ariel

The reason why Belle will never be my favorite (though she is one of my top princesses) is BECAUSE she is perfect. For that same reason, I think that's why so many people like her. But I guess i like my princesses with flaws.

YES-Alafastanzio, i just read your comment. I love Ariel because she makes mistakes but she keeps picking herself back up and trying again.

I could have taken this question one of two ways - Mulan does recognize that she is not perfect, so she is definitely a choice. But I chose Ariel because she is almost overly flawed in judgment to me. I can't relate to the way she handled her situation at all.

And I disagree that Belle is perfect. She is most definitely not. She is stubborn, has a temper, and she made a judgment error in showing the town the Beast through the mirror. Those are just what I can think of off the top of my head. But, again, Belle is not perfect but those who love her do so in spite of the fact that she is indeed not perfect.

My only real problem with Ariel is the magnitude of her flaws... to the extent that she is virtually blind to the love her family has for her in favour of going off with the cutie she knows only the name of. It is made ever more rediculous when you see the bad prequel. She is so close with her sisters and had such a connection with her father at the end, that it seems pretty evil of her to just abandon them with barely a so long. Maybe that is why I do not much like her character.
The biggest choice for people here was Mulan, but what most people consider to be her flaws, to me, are more an indication of her strength of character. This is too long, so I will leave it here :)

When I watch Mulan is like Im watching myself, in another world in the one that I would Love to Live!

Mulan and Ariel definitely aren't perfect, and Jasmine and Pocahontas aren't really perfect either. The others I can understand people thinking that they're perfect.
